Due to covid, I took 2 semesters of online classes. The semester covid hit was a difficult transition from in-person to online. I wasn't personally prepared for it and the change of study/school work habits but I created a positive habit from it. It helped me organize my future schedules and adjust to an online world. By the time I started taking online classes the following semester, the professors were beyond helpful and well put together. I have had nothing but a positive experience from taking online classes at the University of Arkansas at Little Rock. And to top it off, I managed significantly increase my GPA and learn the material I was studying!
Terrible experience. Professors are overworked, act like they are underpaid, and generally don't want to help. There are good teachers but they are just "mentors". Sometimes you will have someone on a check off that will fail you because you asked their name before washing your hands-then the next check off the person will be looking at their phone their whole time. They act like it is a huge inconvenience to them for you to email them, and if you are a minute late you are not allowed into class. However they can call you 2 hours after clinical starts and say that you wont have clinical for the day. The whole program is poorly managed. While you are paying money to learn and actively trying to become a nurse they make you feel like you are inconveniencing them. Also their covid policy is you will fail if you come to class sick - and you will fail if you miss two days of school - so you are screwed either way. UALR nursing doesnt care about you, they care about money and their scores
The biggest thing that I love about this school is the diversity of people that I get to work with each day. Many different kinds of people with many different backgrounds attend this school, so I get the chance to learn something new each day!
