With the Houston Welding Technology program, you can train to become a skilled welder in less than 9 months. Developed in conjunction with Lincoln Electric, your courses will cover everything from welding safety guidelines to various types of welding applications. As a graduate, you’ll earn a diploma and be prepared to test for welding certifications.

The thing I like most about this school are the teachers. These teachers will guide you through the right steps, they don’t just want you to pass they want you to understand and learn the subject, they are helpful, and good and knowledgeable… they know what they are teaching because most of them if not all of them have worked years prior to teaching they have hands on experience and therefore they know more on the subject than anyone else. I like the idea of getting a job guaranteed after attending this school of course if you put in the effort you will be rewarded… over all I think this is a great school and I would recommend it to friends and family.

I haven't exactly started school yet. I start on July 20th of this year. I was lost in my senior year not knowing what to do with my future. I was stuck on going into the military or becoming a football coach at the community college in my hometown. Then when U.T.I. came and paid our school a visit, they truly caught my eye instantly and I knew what I wanted to do from there. They have 2019-2020 model cars to work on, Houston is one of the top facilities, the classroom sizes aren't huge so you'll get more one on one help, they help you get in and out in a year or less. Depending on your program choice, it can be 52-54 weeks like mine, the Collision and Repair program. I highly recommend this program for anyone who want's to come out of high school and go straight to work. Going to a four-year college can be expensive and U.T.I. is the answer!

Great school! The professors really seem qualified and concerned with the students well being. They take their time to really teach the students the trade. Clean and well kept campus. Can't wait to start my next semester there!
