Universal Technical Institute is great school to begin chasing a career, the economy needs more and more people to have a career as a "Trade" each year. To many people believe you HAVE to go to a 4 year university in order to be successful, which is most definitely NOT the case thanks to schools like UTI. The longest course they have is just a year & 1/2! With there student resources and employment support they help you with a resume & have job fairs with 100+ employers in the building looking to hire young & eager mechanics. Also UTI offers sessions in different times of the day (Morning, Mid, & Evening) allowing you to maintain a full time job & attend school! It may sound tough but I wouldn't want to attend any other school, with the services they offer and help its a great environment to learn and grow as a person & mechanic. My experience has been great, the school can 9x/10 help you with finding a job and adjusting your school schedule to help your job situation.
I first found out about Universal Technical Institute when I was a junior in high school. Universal Technical Institute had one of their representatives come to my school and give a presentation about their campus. I found out they were offering a summer training program that was exclusive to high school juniors and I knew it was a great opportunity to get to know the school and what courses they offer. After I completed the summer training program, I got more interested in attending this school. Now currently as a senior in high school, I contacted them about the acceptance process and they got me all set up without any problems to attend Universal Technical Institute.
Every class have what are called IOL'S which are assignments due online, they are not hard assignments you actually can't even fail them, the program won't allow it. Watching the IOL'S give you good acknowledgement on what to expect in class and help you prepare for up coming quizzes and labs. Im personally not the type of person that can learn very well from online programs but they do help you know an idea of whats going on before hand of doing it or talking about it in class.
