Union college has a welcoming atmosphere, great staff, and lots of offered activities on campus. There are a good variety of clubs on campus including book club and science club. The staff is well trained, and majority of teachers are willing to meet with students to explain how they can do better in classes. The school also has weekly events for the students that are provident by SGA. These events are well liked by the students they provide a variety of events like BINGO and making pillows. As far as food goes on campus, the cafeteria has a selection of different food items like pizza, subs, etc. The campus also has two Starbucks which have the majority of the same items as a full sized shop.
I started Union in the spring of 2016. Coming in the middle of a semester was a little more challenging, but all of the professors and students in my specific major were friendly and welcoming to me. I don't live on campus and can't speak for housing, but I know the classroom buildings are beautiful and well kept. The English department in particular is full of professors who are remarkably intelligent and could honestly teach anywhere they wanted. I would put our department professors against any in the nation. I'm very thankful to have been able to attend Union College.
I went on a visit to Union Collage in Barbouville, Kentucky this past month and had a great experience. Everybody seemed very friendly to me and each other. It was a small town, which I liked a lot, everybody knew everybody and they were all friends. I would highly recommend Union College to anybody interested in going to collage in a small friendly town.
