The school has a separate gymnasium for sports such as volley, basketball, gymnastics, etc. As a student, it's disappointing how it's not always open or when it is they would always use it to play one particular sports. If students wanted to use it on a regular basis for a sport that's not as common as basketball or volley (badminton for example), they would have to go through this whole tedious process of asking so many people and still not using it at the end. Bigger sports are favored like gymnastics, volley and basketball. The weight training and swimming pool facility, however, is great and always open for students.

Also, team tryout days are bit ridiculous. Coaches sometimes seem to choose players out of favoritism rather than skill.

For school games, not all students have the opportunity to actually participate.
Union has a staff that welcomes you and makes you feel at home! So coming from the Pacific and into The Union family, I feel nothing but love! Offcourse no school is perfect, and there are some staff that will try so hard to make you feel at home, but it's just not the same as how the others treat you! As for my Social work professor and advisor, I feel welcome, appreciated and at home! I wouldn't have seen myself anywhere else but here!
If you're looking for a place where the teachers actually invest time in their students and show that they actually care about your success, then Union is the place to be. Union College may not be a big school, but the impact it leaves on its students is huge. They make the most out of their learning facilities and services. Faculty and Staff actually care about student feedback and are always looking for ways to improve.
