I am able to compare a state school versus a community college because I am a former student at Southern Connecticut State University and a current student at Tunxis Community College. The biggest difference I noticed would be financially. Tunxis is the best choice financially and it's also a great school. I have been a student here for two years and I love the teaching environment the professors provide and the resources available to students, such as the academic success center. I highly recommend students to enroll at Tunxis because not only is it extremely affordable, it is great, academic wise!

I've been with Tunxis for two years. The best experience I've had is getting lot of help form the staffs, especially from the financial aid office. They always tried their best to get me everything that I qualified for. Overall, everyone is very helpful. The campus is small and there were not many fun activities but I feel it's just fine and fit in. The basic or popular courses are available with many scheduling options but some more advanced courses sometimes are not offered in a certain semester, and when they are, there is usually only one option. Most of the professors are knowledgeable, and willing to help out any struggling students. There were many students from many four-year public and private schools admitted to fulfill their own schools' requirements and not getting out of school with a huge amount of debts.
GOOD TUTORS, QUIET AND NEAT ENVIRONMENT. THE SCHOOL HAS ACADEMIC SUCCESS WHICH THE TUTORS WILL HELP YOU TO PASS YOUR CLASS. GOOD SECURITY SERVICE. SPACIOUS, CAR PARK AND CAFETERIA. WHEN YOU NEED HELP FROM TUTORS YOU CAN WALK-IN TO THEIR OFFICE, THEY WILL HELP YOU. THERE ARE CLUBS THAT YOU CAN JOIN. TUNXIS COMMUNITY COLLEGE IS AN EXCELLENT COMMUNITY COLLEGE
