Teachers are very helpful and understanding of current situations. Contacting professors is beyond easy! They respond within a few hours, same with Tunxis online registration! They make everything to simple.
I am able to compare a state school versus a community college because I am a former student at Southern Connecticut State University and a current student at Tunxis Community College. The biggest difference I noticed would be financially. Tunxis is the best choice financially and it's also a great school. I have been a student here for two years and I love the teaching environment the professors provide and the resources available to students, such as the academic success center. I highly recommend students to enroll at Tunxis because not only is it extremely affordable, it is great, academic wise!
When I first came to Tunxis, I thought I wouldn't like it. I changed my mind almost immediately when I arrived on campus for the first day. Everyone was so welcoming and helpful. My professors have been amazing, and are knowledgeable on their subject matter. Also the tuition is super affordable compared to other schools, and if you transfer to one of the four state schools, all of your credits will automatically transfer. but you'll pay less for the first two years. I would seriously urge you to start your first two college years here. You'll save so much money and be less in debt.
