Tunxis is truly full of amazing staff! The professors are attentive, caring, and always looking to help boost students up. They are also very understanding when it comes to needing extra help or extra resources. The advisors are very helpful and provide resources that save students money and time. The school itself is clean and well maintained with an abundance of clubs and organizations that provide resources for mental health, such as the human services club. The students are welcoming and it was easy to make friends and breach out of my social comfort zone. The school has many parking spots available, and two main entrances that make it easier so you don't have to walk 15 minutes to your class if you're running late. The classes are well-paced so that they do not become overwhelming, even as a full-time student I still have plenty of free time and time to work a part-time job as well. There are many events with free food or gift bags that encourage students to come to campus.
Tunxis is an incredible college in many different aspects. The financial aid and advisory departments are extremely helpful and accommodating. The Pathways programs are a fantastic resource for students who want to transfer to a state school but don't want to spend state school money. I truly feel that I am gaining amazing experience and education without sacrifice. Student life is also great, there are many clubs and programs - any student can find their group. The campus is diverse in every aspect; age, race, gender, and sexuality. If you are considering enrolling at Tunxis, I would definitely recommend scheduling a tour or an advisor meeting.
My experience at Tunxis so far has been pretty good. I’ve had some enjoyable classes and some pretty okay but I’ve enjoyed my time here so far. Many of the professors I’ve had care about you and will do whatever it takes to help you pass their class. They also make class time enjoyable and engaging. The food at Tunxis is great and the kitchen staff is very friendly. The security guards are also very friendly and great at their job. Many people at Tunxis are are very nice and I have made some new friends here when it is usually hard for me to do so. I would recommend everyone go to Tunxis because it is super affordable, great atmosphere and overall a good experience. The only improvement I would like to see is adding sports teams as we do not have any. We could use the fields at the Tunxis mead and many students not just me would like to see sports teams at Tunxis
