I absolutely love every part of going to Tulsa! The instructors and staff are amazing as well as the classes. The second day of school you start welding and everyday from there is hands on you doing the welding! I wouldn’t change a thing.
I actually teach here. I love hearing from my students after they graduate and make that money. I love them. Most instructors I work with are more than willing to help you get the job you want. Our career services staff line up classes that employers host, and most are hired on the spot. I'm proud of our students. I've been teaching here for 4 years. Any student that wants to succeed will. It's that simple.
It wasn’t a waste of time but there are definitely other opportunities out there. Try finding an apprenticeship school before applying here. It cost too much money in my opinion…there are tons of places that’ll pay you to learn how to weld and give you the right experience you need to go out on your own. I really don’t like how they do things about getting you a job. They just basically give you anything and if they send you to a bad job they won’t take the responsibility of helping you find another job. I was sent all the way to Virginia listening to Tulsa career advisors and the job I got wasn’t even really a welding job. Luckily I met some people who were once welders help me find a good paying job. I say just make sure you have a solid plan before applying. In my opinion it’s definitely no where near worth the money they are charging. Try and find an apprenticeship and that’ll be worth your time
