Review Trinity University - Texas
I love this school! The academic focus here is strong. We have amazing faculty (ranked #6 in the Nation by WSJ). Professors are extremely accessible and very willing to help you succeed. There are tons of great activities and groups to join. If you don't find something, you can easily start up a new club. This is the most gorgeous campus. Butterflies are all around and we are next to the lovely historic Brackenridge Park, Japanese Tea Garden and the San Antonio Zoo. In recent years, Tigers have won 4 NCAA team championships and 4 individual track and field national titles. There isn't a huge party scene on campus. But we are 5 minutes from the River Walk and there is always something entertaining to do.
The best decision I have ever made was coming here. My professors were amazing, and both challenged and supported me every day. They are truly invested in not only your education, but also your wellbeing and future. My friends are some of the closest I will ever have, and getting involved on campus was easy and fun! The dorms are truly like palaces. The only thing left to be desired is the food, but they claim they are working on it. You will not regret going here!
Almost all of my professors have been amazing! Trinity does a great job at finding teachers that care about their students and really know the material they are teaching. One problem I encountered was dealing with a professor that had tenure. He was awful and did not teach his class properly. I felt I was being treated unfairly, yet "there was nothing I could do" because he has tenure. This is a problem at a university like Trinity where i expect to be receiving top education. I think if a professor is not doing their job Trinity should reevaluate their "tenure."
