I’ve highly enjoyed my time at Trinidad State Junior College. I am currently about to be in my second year of nursing here at TSJC. I have met tons of amazing students and staff. The overall atmosphere has been great! I am happy to be graduating in the Spring of 2024 with my associates in nursing. I have been given the opportunity to join The Colorado Student Nurses Associates. I am currently the secretary. As a native of Trinidad, CO, I am excited to graduate here at TSJC.
Trinidad State College is a fairly small community college in southern Colorado with a few interesting programs that draw in people from out of state. I would say I am having a good experience with the college, however there is a bit of a space issue in housing only because there is an ongoing renovation going on for the dorms. So the buildings are not quite up to modern standards that people expect, but are slowly being improved. There are a good amount of student events provided and as of right now there are only two clubs due to the effects of covid-19, so the college is trying to push more events. The food is decent compared to the other college's cafeteria food with decent selection. It should be fairly easy to get to know people in your program and outside through events. Trinidad State College is fairly remote however, and out of state tuition costs can be expensive. Trinidad itself is a doobie town, but the college strives to keep its campus free of drugs.
Trinidad State College is amazing! My experience there was unique, and unforgettable! The professors are awesome, they encouraged me and were very understanding. The athletic events were fun and exciting.
