First the cost of tuition was affordable. Also, the 7 week course quarters were really nice. I am a culinary arts major and I particularly enjoyed the lab classes. The location is absolutely phenomenal; downtown Charleston has lots to see and do.
I have had a great online experience so far. I am in my 2nd semester and all of my professors have encouraged communication via discussion boards and students have set up study sessions via zoom and other similar platforms.
Getting into my first semester classes was a little rocky but once you get in, Trident's online platform is easy to use. All advisors and professors I have talked with have been very helpful!
Little to no effort by professors and overpriced classes that provide no substance on the material covered.
Took online classes here. Professors are the real issue here. Most of them are completely disconnected from the student body they teach. Communication does not exist here.
I had to do online classes for three classes because the COVID pandemic just started. I would say it was pretty straightforward and easy but regardless I would rather have class in person.
I took classes online since fall of 2020,it was hard at first for me to get motivated to do the work.Since I was use to the normal on campus learning but i’m starting to manage my time better.
The staff is friendly and are helpful, the school is also very diverse.I’ve been on campus once this year so I cant say much about how campus is.
It really depends on the class. For instance, my biology class was really good for an online class. You could tell that they put a lot of thought into it. However, the physics 2 class that I took was not very good at all. No lectures just a page with lecture notes that we were supposed to read. Thankfully Khan academy exists.
The school already has a hybrid learning program, meaning half of the work for the class is in person and half is online. With the pandemic, they switched it to become completely online for all of my courses at the college. With my previous experience with the hybrid courses, it has not been very challenging for me to learn fully online, and the professors are knowledgeable enough with this method and are very helpful.
With COVID-19, all of my classes at the college are online so it is hard to give a full description or credible college experience. However, the professors have made it very easy to learn new material online and are very helpful!
Overall my experience with Trident Technical College has been great! They are very engaging and help with overall experience of college life. Currently I am in the bridge program which will help me achieve my dream of being at the College of Charleston and they have been very great in helping.
Trident tech offers a wide variety of courses and also helps you build connections with your professors! if you need any help they are quick to email back and very responsive
Trident tech is an affordable and intrinsically motivating school to attend. There are a plethora of majors and minors to choose from regarding a wide range of trades, skills, and degrees. The staff and faculty of TTC offer a well structured and positive environment to learn and excel. There are a wide range of student supports within the TTC community to help students work through a broad range of issues both in and out of school. TTC truly sets students up for successful careers and lives.
I take courses online now and then, and sometimes it works for me and sometimes it does not. Sometimes the professors are nice and understanding and other times they are average.
I like how you do not have to take courses that are not related to the major you want. I do wish there were more choices of majors.
Trident Technical College was an incredible college to attend. The professors I met for my program have turned into mentors. I was given all the tools to carve a successful path for myself both personally and professionally. The program I graduated from have plenty of support options for all of the students. I feel like I graduated a completely different person than I entered as and that is due to the incredible program. I am a proud alumni.
