The University of Tennessee- Chattanooga is a great 4 year institution! I enjoyed my time there and am sad it is coming to an end soon. UTC is a beautiful campus with ample resources including a library with dozens of private study rooms, advanced technology, rental equipment (including hotspots for wifi, laptops, recording equipment, studio equipment, etc.), writing assistance, research assistance, and so much more. UTC makes it simple to navigate college because with the stress of young adulthood and college courses, who wants to add the stress of navigating college both literally and figuratively on their own? UTC's student and family engagement center hosts interactive events for students to attend regularly that are actually fun and help connect students! There are hundreds of clubs and organizations on campus and even UTC's greek life is inclusive and well rounded. I would recommend UTC to anyone thinking about attending undergraduate or graduate programs.
Chattanooga has given me the opportunity to meet some of the most amazing people ever. The staff is incredibly helpful and willing to do whatever they can to see you succeed. Classes are flexible and have worked easily with maintaining a work schedule. The living situations are also so nice which is an added bonus!
Besides on-campus, Chattanooga has so much to offer and you never get bored. There is always something to do, new restaurants to try, and events to attend. I cannot recommend it enough!

This is an establishment where you pay for the "college experience" and the piece of paper that goes with it, not an actual education. While every once in a while you may find a class that has a great professor and the material is taught really well. More often than not, you'll find the professors don't seem interested in actually teaching the material. You pay for a class, and all the required material, just to be told to read the book. Reading the book is fine if it is supplemented by some additional resources (lecture, powerpoints, recordings, etc.), but not when that is the entire course. I'm not sure why we pay thousands of dollars to be told to read a book and complete the exercises at the end of each chapter. I'm entirely capable of doing that without paying a university thousands of dollars. About half of all classes I've taken at this university have provided little-to-no added value past telling us to read a book, do homework, and take a test. Good luck!
