What I love most about OSU- Lima are the professors. All of the professors I had were all extremely passionate about not only their work, but also teaching. The institution itself: because the university is a considered a regional campus, we are relatively small, especially compared to main campus in Columbus. I wish, however, that we had more opportunity to engage more with each other. I wish there were more clubs to be a part of, but I understand that since we are a smaller campus, and a lot of students transfer to main campus, the population size could decrease. But, for the students who stay here to finish their degree, like myself, it would be nice to have a more clubs. Also, a bonus to having a small campus is that you make great connections and friends with the faculty and staff as well as students in your major.
I love that it’s a smaller campus. So I have more opportunities to interact with the staff and facilities to know gem better. I also love the smaller class sizes. But if there was anything I would like to change it would be the interaction with main campus. Sometimes being at a regional campus makes me feel like I am not a real buckeye. Like if the could shoot us more emails about events or have buses that can bring us down to participate in big events or games that would be amazing
My experience at Ohio State University - Lima has been a great one. I have made many friends and met many respected members of faculty that have helped shape my early adult years. The campus is very diverse and helpful. It has also prepared me in many aspects of life. My time at OSU Lima has made me confident to tackle graduate school in the coming years!
