I am a Freshman Musical Theatre Major and I have not been happier. Boco is a family that pushes you to succeed and embraces every facet of every student. You not only feel welcomed here, you feel important, and part of an artistic community that will be with you for the rest of your life. Boston Conservatory at Berklee is one of the top conservatories in the world, and due to our partnership with Berklee College of Music, we now cater to all genres of music. Boco has a more classical appeal with amazing opera training and one of the best Theatre programs in the world. Berklee caters more towards Rock, Pop, and Jazz music. With the two colleges combined, we have access to all classes at both the College of Music and The Conservatory. This merger is the best thing to ever happen, and is making both colleges better. I love where I am and I really hope you choose to audition!
Review The Boston Conservatory
The most beautiful building you will ever see. Hogwarts-esque. The dorms are old Brownstone Mansions from the 1890's, and each dorm room is uniquely shaped. Every dorm has about 28-40 people living in them, and you become very good friends with everyone in your home. Its almost weird to call it a dorm because it feels so homey. My only complaint is that there is no Air Conditioning, and we can't bring our own because of the old electrical system in the dorm. The first four weeks of classes are unbearably hot, but after that everything is amazing!
We have a large percentage of international students at our school. Our diversity makes us so unique, as we have a variety of cultural viewpoints from which we can create our art. Everyone not only accepts diversity, but celebrates it!
