The American Academy of Dramatic Arts - New York Reviews
Rating 4.12 out of 5 104 reviews
There were phenomenal classes that really focused on and prioritized the student’s acting abilities. Rather than degrade or push against habits being presented, the instructors were able to work with what every student gave them in their own ways. The school focuses on crafting what the student already has in their repertoire rather than shape them into becoming someone they’re not. I truly had a wonderful experience here learning more about myself and the events of my life that’s transpired to help me be who I am today. All the while, I don’t really realize I was perfecting my craft and growing stronger as an actor. All in all, I enjoyed my time as a freshman and left with a lifetime’s worth of knowledge. I’m eager to see where the training takes me further.
What a spectacular school! I have learned so much in the relatively short amount of time I've studied here, even coming in already as a professional actor.
Amazing school with excellent staff, be warned the training is intense but if gives a great reflection on what the acting world will be like. The school creates a loving environment the is great for harboring growth, while at the same time each student gets pushed far outside of their comfort zone! Even with the Covid-19 pandemic I still managed to get a an awesome acting experience! If you haven't thought about applying to the academy, I highly suggest it!
