Each teacher can recount numerous highs and lows in their teaching career. Personally, I experienced many great moments while teaching. These were days when I ended so happy and enthusiastic that I knew I had selected the right profession. On the other hand, I had days where I definitely questioned teaching as a career. These were days where the students seemed uninterested, too talkative, or even worse a blow up occurred and nothing got accomplished. Thankfully the average combined with the positive days outshine my negative days.
Review Your College
I am in the Culinary Arts Program, and I love it! I am so happy that I choose this then any other. The instructors are every encouraging and my peers are amazing. It's really great. The university is big than I am used to in high school, but I love that there are so many opportunities.
This community college is a great campus to begin your first years of college. The instructors are very clear on the work they assign. Most professors remind students on a daily basis when assignments are due. Since the teacher to student ratio is averagely about 1:23, contacting professors feels more like one-to-one conversations. The campus' buildings are close by to each other, so in case you have a class on one side of the campus and the next on the other side of the campus, you'll make it on time. Especially since advisers are nice enough to give you at least 10 minute breaks to get to your next class. Advisers are sweet here, so whatever you want, just simply ask for it and it will be given. Furthermore, the college environment is nice. Keep in mind, since this is in South Texas, expect it to be crazy hot ALL THE TIME.
