The academics at Texas Chiropractic are the best and most challenging I have ever seen. Ever professor is on the same level as those outstanding professors you get every once in a while going through undergrad. All of our professors are recipients of the title "Doctor", and many of them have more than one degree bestowing that title. The workload at TCC is staggering at first. The program is an accelerated medical degree, and we don't have summer breaks (three trimesters per year, not two semesters). With that (and the 28+ credit hours every trimester) in mind, ALL of the staff are more helpful than I have ever seen on a campus before. Not just the professors are willing to do anything at all to help you, but the registration staff, financial aid, everyone will do anything they can (and they actually communicate well with each, so no run-around!).

All the students at Texas Chiropractic are held together by the same mindset, so the three hundred student (give or take) student body is fairly cohesive in attitude and style. It also means that everyone is extremely friendly and very helpful, even if you don't have classes with the person. The diversity of backgrounds is refreshing, because we have more than a handful of international students, and out of a group of ten, less than half will be from the same state. We have all shapes and sizes of physical body, but all of them are concerned with healthy lifestyles.
There are a handful of places to grab a bite to eat within about ten minutes in any direction. A lot of it is going to be mexican food just from the neighborhood demographics, but there is a good variety of sandwich shops, wings, pizza, and all your other classic americana. Not even ten minutes down the road there is a sizable shopping center that has even more options, reminiscent of a mall food court. There is not a lot of ethnic food around that is as easy to find, though.
