It is a very inviting and welcoming school. It is pretty affordable and the education provided is great! I can describe my first-year experience as being pretty good. I was able to manage my school work and the level of difficulty was not too extreme. I liked that i was challenged with my academics, and if I was in need of assistance I was provided with it. The school's communication is excellent and I have always been given the help I need whenever I had questions.
Small and supportive school! Easy to connect with the professors and engage on campus. Not to mention, a plethora of opportunities and resources.
I started my remote education here a year after covid started. Covid has caused low enrollment, but I manage to finish this semester a bit later than I wanted. The Texas A&M system did a tuition freeze to keep costs the same. I couldn't afford my degree if it wasn't for public grants and hustling on the side. So happy to graduate debt free with my degree so they don’t tax my social security check in the future to pay my student loans back. This school was about 10k a year without room and board and the excess meal plan. Don't forget to find your books to download in pdf off the internet.
The downside: Campus is a mess full of anxiety-ridden students causing drama. Students don’t want to do their work even in online classes they wait until the last minute on discussion posts. When I started a professor in my degree department had left. Now it seems everyone is jumping ship. Housing and the meal plan is crap and they contract the lower bidder to fix anything on campus.
