A college fair was hosted in my highschool, and the university that called my attention was Texas A&M. My friend attends this school, and talks so much about it. I can see the passion she has and the love she has with the school. At times she doesn't even want to come home from her dorm. She loved the way things were there and the campus overall. It has me interested to join, and I asked the man numerous questions about this university, which made me love it even more. I hope that one day I will get to see it in person. My plan was to see it this summer, but due to this pandemic having a toll on my family and everyone around us. We knew that we couldn't go and see the campus. One day I hope to see it and get to explore more about it. I thank the person who is reading this, and hope they have a wonderful day!

The good: The campus is beautiful, you’re literally right on the water and a 15 min drive from the actual beach, most of my professors have been very very good and helpful.
The bad: The unfortunate truth is that if you want the full college experience, tamucc is not for you. It’s very small and you end up seeing the same people all the time, which ends up feeling like highschool. And there’s some people that you may not want to see all the time! There’s greek life, but it’s not that big of a deal here and is smaller than most places. Hard to meet people because dorms are untraditional and much less in/out and people all hanging out than some of my friends have said it is at their universities. Feels like an apartment complex where no one cares to know each other. Next to no parties/nightlife. The parties that do end up happening get shut down real quick. Hopefully if you come here you like going to the beach 24/7 because that’s the main thing there is to do.
I love this school! It's big enough but not too big. Location is gorgeous - on its own "island" in the Corpus Christi Bay. Dorms are pretty good and they even have options for a single student dorm but unfortunately, in my opinion the food is less than good so a lot of people look for apartments off campus after the freshman year to not incur thousands of dollars per year in food costs. They need a new chef to re-vamp the whole cafeteria and menu, including new cafeteria staff.
