I did not particularly like it. I have to admit that all the teachers I had were great. They were awesome at explaining, very open to questions and fair graders. The students though were not at a college level. I am an international student here, and the teachers were all very welcoming. I really liked the atmosphere. Where I come from universities are much, much bigger; you are assigned a matriculation number, and the teachers do not even know your name. While here the approach was more individual.
I hated going to meet one of the counselors! Take into consideration at least 2 hours if you want to go. The wait was just stressful and a total waste of time. I have only been there twice and the counselors I've met were extremely nice to me. They were kind even though they didn't know how to solve my problem. They both said the next time I could just walk in their office, instead of doing the line. I truly appreciated how helpful they were trying to be.

Great school for the price. General ed classes can be filled with not-so-great people during the regular semester (likely as a result of the unfortunate reputation this college seems to have in high schools), but classes relevant to your Major are always great. I majored in cybersecurity and would highly recommend anyone looking to get a head start on their degree in IT to do the same. Curriculum Chair is a great guy, and most professors are very helpful if you actually reach out to them (most of the "unfortunate" students don't take that effort to even try). Don't be a doofus, work hard, and you'll have more opportunities than a lot of students at more expesive schools get.
I had dropped out of a larger university due to both financial reasons and not being to keep up with the program I was in. My academic experience at that location was not the best, to say the least. Being at WCC feels much more comfortable, and is also closer to home and much more affordable. It is also really diverse and has a lot of clubs that appeal to a variety of interests and cultural backgrounds. The professors are great and are there to help you if you seek them out for help, and it is really easy to succeed if you do your work, study hard, manage your time, and seek out the resources that the school provides. I even learned a lot more here in my field of interest (visual/studio art) than at my previous institution! The teachers are really qualified and know how to communicate well with their students.
