This school is overall really good. The professors go above and beyond to help you. Most will make time for you if your schedules collide with their office hours for different times. Need extra help? That’s ok! There is study help, tutoring, some professors will help you 1:1, you got it all right here! I have had better luck here than ccc. My grades went up dramatically! Low grades to high grades! I get more, they help me a lot. Think only thing that could be better would be a nurse on campus. So many different medical people here...

SUNY OCC offers so many different majors! It was great because it really gives you some direction if you don’t know what career to pursue. The professors are nice and knowledgeable. I do wish that there were easier ways to get financial assistance because while my parents make enough money for me not to receive enough loans, I don’t receive enough financial assistance from my parents to cover my semester expenses. (My family can’t afford to spend $5,000 a semester even though FAFSA says that they make enough). I love OCC because they really helped me decide what field to go into.
I really like going to college at OCC. I was nervous at first because I'm considered a "non-traditional" student and I haven't been to school in thirty years, but everyone has made me feel comfortable and welcome! The classes are flexible and instructors are available to meet with you for questions or discussion. Overall, it has been an enjoyable experience.
