SUNY Jamestown Community College Reviews

Jamestown Community College has some great staff who are very helpful. Yet Jamestown Community College also has some very rude and unhelpful staff who are suppose to be professional and welcoming to new incoming students. Sadly they are quite the opposite. I am filing a formal complaint with the College as no one should have to tolerate or deal with such unprofessional staff when looking for answers to questions to help plan our future.
The staff/facility was very unhelpful and rude every time I was able to talk to them. It's very clear that the entire staff in the financial aid office does not like talking to the students and helping them through their confusions and issues. Though, all of the professors I have met were mostly helpful.
Being almost completely online was very difficult for me. The only class I had in person was my Anatomy Lab, which was still difficult because I didn't even have an online class for Anatomy & Physiology I. Personally, I just learn better with more communication and in a classroom setting.
Charging late fees during the 1st week of school when they’re the ones who took long to process financial aid.
Unorganized and unclear when it comes to online classes. Could be way better. Charging full tuition for the bare minimum.
I enjoyed every moment on campus whether it be in the classroom or just walking around campus. Was sad that we switched to online but they were very professional about it.
I love the faculty and staff. Everyone is very helpful. The events that go on on campus are very fun and allow me to meet new people. The academics are also very good. The classes are challenging but fun and I feel as if I am prepared for my future career.
I cannot begin to describe how bad the portions for the cafeteria food is nor can I describe how bad my current situation in residence life is. School is great, facilities are insulting.
Way to close to home for me but the education was good. It would be amazing if there were more classes in the psychology field and more people interested in it.
Very nice school to get you started on your college journey. I feel as if they should have more sports to get students involved and stay active. I also feel as if they could be more active in trying to get students to go on from JCC and get a tiger degree.
Excellent teachers! Wish there was a set up for child care in the Olean campus like many other colleges. Overall great time learning! I have a great time here and have learned so much and owe so much thanks to my advisor and teachers!
JCC is an amazing school for students who are undecided or just seeking an associates degree. I will graduate in May with my degree and transfer to a 4 year institution in the fall. The staff is wonderful and the class sizes are perfect for your success and one on one time with professors. I have no complaints except for the condition of some of the restrooms.
I may be new to this college but the staff has made coming to this school a great journey. The student body is very friendly and willing to help. The overall experience I have had so far has been the best i have ever had.
Professors are awesome, Counselors and Nurses in the Health Department are very helpful, classes are entertaining and educational.
I am starting here in the fall and the staff has been very helpful every step of the way. I'm super excited to start.
I love the intimate diversity that JCC offers. Students from all over and students locally learn in a small environment which allows you to know everybody personally and also get individual help from teachers.
Suny JCC has great professors who take the time to listen and help you through any problems you may be having in their class. Although there are a lot of good professors, some professors don't put nearly enough time into their students and the students quite often change their major because of one class or because of a professor that doesn't care if his/her students succeed!
