SUNY Farmingdale State College Reviews
Farmingdale State College is a great college overall! I would definitely recommend any student to attend! I'm a bioscience major and all of the professors I've had are very nice and have their own ways of teaching which makes each class memorable in its own way. The campus is also beautiful especially in the spring and summer and is constantly being improved as it is growing in popularity. There are people of different backgrounds everywhere you go on campus and a great appreciation of culture throughout the college. For food, the campus cafeteria has different types of food made fresh daily and the food has never disappointed! There are also options for vegeterians, vegans, or anyone who has preferences in the foods they eat. Located on the campus is its own police and fire department so safety is definitely key for all the students and staff attending. As a student, I never felt unsafe on my campus.
FSC is a great diverse college with unlimited opportunities to grow and expand. The advisement counselors really go out of their way to help you out and work through everything even if it takes multiple meetings. I got accepted into the Dental Hygiene program which was insane as I was going for nursing but with this sudden change of career, it didn't make me question myself as the head of Dental Hygiene department told me straight out what I needed to do to get into the program without having my previous prerequisites of nursing going to waste. The FSC crowd of extracurricular activities has been welcoming. They don't make you feel like an outsider or out of place. All in all, I can't wait for new experiences here at FSC.
SUNY Farmingdale State College provided me a great education that was close to home and allowed me to still work while in school. This college had small class sizes, which helped when connecting with students or professors on the campus. The professors, especially in the Psychology Department were some of the best professors I have ever had and I am not just saying that because I was a Psychology Major. The one thing I would change about this college is the parking. Especially during this past year, parking seemed to be at its worst after being there for four years. The campus police even had to direct traffic and add parking onto the grass in order to account for everyone attending class.
