Farmingdale is a great school for a commuter school. I wasn't happy to have to go here and not live on a campus, but I actually loved it. The professors are great and give you individual attention because the class sizes are small. It's a very friendly place, and it's very easy to make friends in your classes. The liberal arts department advising isn't great though so you have to make sure you're on top of your major requirements and paying attention to it. Also, you can study abroad to so many places! Farmingdale helped me get good grades and learn how to study so now I'm at a great school with a huge scholarship!

The academic process at Farmingdale State College is great. The staff answering the calls, or who sit at the different departments, are very helpful. They are patient and friendly, and don't make me feel uncomfortable about asking for assistance. The college is so nicely manicured. It has clean buildings and large areas of soft grass, new benches, a fountain, athletic fields, and a great campus center. It seems like they fix things right away if broken. I am very happy going to school here! Thanks.
SUNY Farmingdale is a commuter school. It definitely doesn't give the full college experience, so one shouldn't come to this school looking for that. The school's students are all local. The campus is nice and offers a food court area inside the campus center. The library was recently revamped and updated. The school of business building is the newest one on campus. The rest of the buildings have been there for quite a while. There is an abandoned building that used to be the horticulture building. Some see it as beautiful but others question why it's still there. The school in general offers a wide array of majors for all students who have different interests.
