From day one, as a transfer student Stockton won me over with its incredibly genuine, warm, caring staff. On orientation day the staff made me feel so welcome, everyone was so friendly, and not because they had to be, it was truly genuine! The actual DEAN of my department spent over an hour with me helping to map out my first semester by going over different course selections available for me, helping to make sure I didn't waste time or money picking classes that would not benefit my intended major. The academics are challenging and many employers see Stockton University as a highly credited institution to graduate from. I highly recommend any student looking for a college where they will easily fit in and belong. There are so many activities to keep busy and because Stockton is situated in the heart of South Jersey, its relatively close to anything you could need. Between Atlantic City, Philadelphia and New York City there are endless possibilities for fun weekends away!

I have just finished my first year at Stockton University from transferring from a community college. I have been given so many opportunities such as leadership, volunteer, and educational and have taken advantage of every one allowing me to discover more about myself. There's always something to do here!
The only thing I would change is the parking haha!
After going through my first fall semester, I can safely say Stockton is a great university. The school features a wide array of academics to choose from and are very focused on hands on experience. They want students to get involved either through jobs and volunteer work, to field labs and classwork.
The campus is beautiful and located in the the forests of the Pine Barrens. The school is not very high tech, but uses its resources to the fullest. Taking advantage of the areas and local groups around; and the tools they've been given.
Most of the food comes from chain restaurants and there's not much to eat if you're vegetarian. But healthy eating otherwise is promoted and there are stores on campus
One thing that brings it down is it's mainly geared toward commuters. Weekends are bland, even with all the great events planned on weekdays, and you need either a car or a shuttle to get off campus.
Still, Stockton is very welcoming, diverse, and fun!
