Stephen F Austin State University Reviews
Review Stephen F Austin State University
I am in my second semester at Stephen F Austin University pursuing a degree in Pre-Dentistry. SFA has really challenged me to stay focused and devote the adequate amount of time to my studies. I'm a fairly smart student that didn't have any issues with Pre AP, Advanced, and Dual Credit high school courses so I figured I would be challenged but should not have any real issues with keeping up with my college studies. I am currently in the Honors Program and let me tell you, SFA does not cut any corners. You will definitely be educated upon graduation!
I absolutely love SFA! My friend recommended that I take a visit here and after I drove through campus I knew this was where I wanted to go. Driving from Dallas to Nacogdoches is a huge scenery change in itself, (never traveling east of Dallas) I had never seen trees so thin and tall before. The campus took my breath away and I was sold when I officially saw how beautiful the campus is. The only thing I would change about Nac is how late everything stays open. There are some days that I want to get frozen yogurt but it is closed by nine o'clock. Of course I do realize that it could hurt someones business staying open later but I think if they had a set later time on certain days then it would benefit not only them but also college students as well.
Stephen F Austin was an exciting and rewarding experience for me. I attended Stephen F Austin as an undergraduate in 2007 and graduated 2009 with a major in Interdisciplinary Studies. As a stay-at-home mom, the university's online program provided the convenience of attending school from home and allowed me to work at my own pace. The instructor's were very well prepared, knowledgeable, readily available, and understanding. For instance, I remember a time when my instructors were flexible with my work schedule and deadlines that had to be met in turning in homework. The ability to stay at home to care for my loved ones while attending school was and continues to be one of my priorities. Currently, I have reapplied to the university as a post graduate and have decided to attend for a second degree to pursue a second career. My first choice of universities being, of course, Stephen F Austin. I look forwards to, once again, saving time and money at Stephen F Austin.
