Stephen F. Austin is located in a small city with not much to do, which is its biggest downfall, however everything else is exceptional. The professors are overly nice, welcoming, and really do care about the success of their students. I have not met one professor who doesn’t want to help their students. Besides academics, the athletic department is amazing. SFA is LOUD! We have soooo much school spirit, and win at almost everything. Everyone I have met so far has been very nice and you make new friends everyday.

Overall, the campus is very nice, the students are quite friendly, and even the professors are willing to work with your schedule. It's great that the campus is not very large meaning you can walk around everywhere. Even if you don't want to walk, you have the option of biking, taking a bus that routinely travels around different parts of campus, or calling for someone to drive you to wherever you need to go similar to an Uber but for free. There are many things you can do at the school to get involved in like clubs, organizations, and different job opportunities. But like other schools, SFA has its downsides too. Parking can be messy. Sometimes people will drive around for 30 minutes waiting for a spot to open because there aren't enough parking spaces for the students. Wifi connection can also be bad too, so I recommend getting an ethernet cable. Honestly, I'm proud of being a lumberjack here at SFA. Axe 'em Jacks!
I loved Stephen F. Austin University because it is a very lively place to call home. There is a lot of tradition and school spirit that has been maintained throughout the years. The location almost makes to where it is impossible for you to get stressed. Studying among the trees and the fresh air is the best feeling ever!
One thing that i really thing that i think would make this university the perfect place to live in, would be private bathrooms for everyone! That would be lovely, but i guess not everything can be perfect.
Still, it is a great school and it is a great place to call home for everyone.
