When I enrolled to this college I was told most students don’t work. I now see why! You will be teaching yourself! I can only speak for myself but I did express my concerns about the terrible teachers and nothing was done I was told to deal with it and it would be addressed. All of the teachers and professors we started with are now gone. Towards the end of our program we got wonderful teachers who did all they could to help us! Unfortunately they weren’t there in the beginning. I do strongly believe if they were my responds would be different towards my program. However not towards the College itself. I’m giving this school 3 stars only for the teachers who made my last few months worth while. If you have a concern don’t expect them to email you back. I wish I knew more options before starting my Journey here at this school. I would rather be on a wait list then go through all the stress. I don’t feel like I got the education I needed to prepare myself for the real world.
I loved that I attended a small college as big colleges aren’t for me. However the learning materials were outdated causing me to not be able to pass my national exams after graduating. The books that we used provided incorrect information causing me to have to spend $2000+ trying to reteach myself everything that I had learned at this college. My classmates all suffered the same fate and the timelines given for our learning was too fast. I don’t mind fast pace but when we received our materials on Monday, quickly ran through everything on Wednesday and then received a test on Friday, most of my classmates would fail the tests. This left us hoping that we were even going to pass our program at the end. Out of 21 that started in my program (Diagnostic Medical Sonography) only 9 graduated. I hope that if someone is looking to go for a DMS degree that they do not choose this college as it was a nightmare for not only me but many others as well.
I am starting my ultrasound tech program in May at the Stautzenberger College Brecksville location, and they could not have been more helpful. All the staff are extremely friendly and easy to reach. They are so warm and welcoming, and value having a personal relationship with each student, which is very valuable to me. My advisor, Anne, has been absolutely awesome in making my enrollment process simple and easy to understand. I recommend checking this college out for anyone who likes a smaller school with a closer relationship with staff.
