I can't say enough about my time at St. Petersburg College. I am finishing up my degree in Public Policy this coming semester. Everyone has been extremely supportive and I was so impressed with how they made the process as easy as possible. Obviously you have to put in the work, but you will never feel alone. The business office, student support services, and every single professor made the experience positive for me. If you have thought about finishing up an associate or bachelor degree - do it! I promise it will be much less difficult than you're thinking.
The staff at SPC are very helpful and are always willing to help whether that be with financial aid or finding the right classes. I love that they are very patient and thorough with everything. Although the classes seemed fairly boring to me, I think it might just be that my classes were relatively long(3 hours). They offer a bunch of helpful resources from insurance, child care, clubs, tutoring hours online and in person, and a bunch more!
Courses are extremely inexpensive and can be done from the concert of your home. However, the problem with this is that the teachers are unresponsive and as a result, courses are entirely taught to you by a book. If you need hands-on with a teacher this will be a horrible experience unless you are a self-learner. On the other hand, for someone who is a self-learner and knows how to study on their own, this is a wonderful option!
