St. Petersburg College Reviews
St. Petersburg College is ranked in the top 10 institutions for associate degrees awarded. They have maintained incredibly affordable tuitions in the face of years of climbing attendance costs at other schools. Academically, the SPC offers high-quality instruction in a variety of degrees in healthcare, arts, sciences, mathematics and liberal arts, among others. Smaller class sizes offer students personalized attention and more opportunity for collaboration with other students. Professors are competent and accessible and do their best to equip students for success. Eleven campuses, situated around the city and the county, provide geographically convenient and academically diverse learning venues. Campuses also offer well-stocked libraries, learning commons with public computers and tutoring centers to help students succeed. For many in the Tampa Bay area, St. Petersburg College puts highly marketable professional and foundational degrees within reach for countless local students.
I appreciate the smaller class sizes which allows students to have a more personal connection with teachers, more so when the classes are difficult. The campuses are relatively easy to navigate and the atmosphere is friendly and light. The campuses offer free math, science, and writing tutoring which is a huge plus. However, this year the Tarpon campus did not have the necessary tutors in the math department to help students. Other than the small hiccup, I would easily recommend this school to another prospective student!
People are friendly and events are lots of fun. Cost is half of what most schools charge per class which is excellent. The school has an awesome library, with computer labs, quiet places to study. I haven't needed much tutoring, but when I did go they were very helpful, and to know that it is free and available is greatly appreciated! Overall, the school is very good. I have had nothing less than good experiences with students, teachers, and staff.
