St. Petersburg College Reviews
For me, this school has provided me with the best possible college experience that I could ask for! The college gives its students a plethora of opportunities to receive tutoring and mentoring every semester in both specific subjects (like statistics and chemistry) and in assisting students to with their chosen academic field of study. Furthermore, the college hosts a significant number of career and academic events that help students gain more knowledge and understanding of what to expect after they have finished college and enter the workforce. However, the most notable characteristics of this institution for me is both the proficiency of its professors in teaching their specialized subjects and the college's striving to create a community amongst its students.
I attend the Seminole branch and I just love it here. The professors so far have all been pretty great, the buildings and equipment are all fairly new. There are LOTS of computers in every classroom and in the "commons" - study area, like a library, as well as computers and iPads available in the cafe for students to use. There is free, walk-in tutoring all day, every day but Sunday! The campus is small enough to be able to walk to all of the buildings easily and surrounded by acreage to give it a peaceful setting.
St. Petersburg College is ranked in the top 10 institutions for associate degrees awarded. They have maintained incredibly affordable tuitions in the face of years of climbing attendance costs at other schools. Academically, the SPC offers high-quality instruction in a variety of degrees in healthcare, arts, sciences, mathematics and liberal arts, among others. Smaller class sizes offer students personalized attention and more opportunity for collaboration with other students. Professors are competent and accessible and do their best to equip students for success. Eleven campuses, situated around the city and the county, provide geographically convenient and academically diverse learning venues. Campuses also offer well-stocked libraries, learning commons with public computers and tutoring centers to help students succeed. For many in the Tampa Bay area, St. Petersburg College puts highly marketable professional and foundational degrees within reach for countless local students.
