St. Mary's University - Texas Reviews
I love St. Mary's University! The quality of education is very valuable. The professors are great educators and I love how they always try to keep the students involved in extracurricular activities. One of my favorite things that St. Mary's does is the hands on training that is needed to go out with experience. As an music education major, this is crucial for me because I need to observe how other professors teach the class and obtain experience. Although St. Mary's University gives you good quality education, it is very expensive.
St. Mary's is a great, well-rounded university offering a wide range of majors and areas of study. No matter what you are interested in pursuing, St. Mary's will have something right for you. The university is also situated in one of the funnest cities ever: San Antonio! Rooted in faith, it is welcoming of all people, so you will fit right in at this amazing school!
The professors at St Mary's care about their students and will work with you to make sure you understand everything in their class of you take the time to go to office hours. The university is very community focused. There are several opportunities to volunteer in the community on campus and around San Antonio. Many students participate in Continuing the Heritage, which is a university wide event once a semester where students can sign up to volunteer at different places around San Antonio, like food banks, gardens, churches, and schools. The only downside is the food and some dorms. The food doesn't taste great, but the cafeteria is willing to work with people with food allergies. The older dorm buildings have thin walls, poor insulation, the rooms open to the outside, and the water pressure in the shower doesn't always work.
