St. Mary's University - Texas Reviews
St. Mary's University is a small school with a wonderful faculty and staff. I have enjoyed being able to build relationships with each professor I have taken a class from, even in the classes that I did not enjoy. The campus community is quite small, but this allows you to build relationships with your peers because you most likely will have them in another class later on. Overall, an enjoyable experience so far!
I rate my university based on my experience in the Finance and Risk Management department. For me, I have had professors who have helped me seek opportunities to expand my experience in the necessary skills in my field of interest. I have also had a massive amount of support for the school in my academic and social goals. However, my experience does not equate to other majors' experience. From what I heard from my friends, they do not have as many opportunities as what has been given to my major and Accounting. I would recommend that anyone who wants to attend St. Mary's talk to the students in your designated major and ask about the clubs and internship opportunities provided throughout their years at the school. I believe that clubs and internship opportunities make or break your academic and career opportunities so make sure to focus on what your school will provide as support.
I love St. Mary's University! The quality of education is very valuable. The professors are great educators and I love how they always try to keep the students involved in extracurricular activities. One of my favorite things that St. Mary's does is the hands on training that is needed to go out with experience. As an music education major, this is crucial for me because I need to observe how other professors teach the class and obtain experience. Although St. Mary's University gives you good quality education, it is very expensive.
