Since I just graduated High School, Saint Edward’s was one of my first college choices to choose from! I have a cousin who went there and he was the captain for the cheer team for I believe to be 2 years and he just loved his experience there. He took me on my first tour for the university and I loved how the campus is surrounded by so much nature and space. I love being able to go outside and breathe whenever I feel cluttered with too much stress or work. That is why I chose to commit to St. Edward’s! I also enjoyed touring most of the buildings and getting the feel about how it’s gonna be when I finally get the chance to move into my new home! I have a lot of faith in this school and I hope that the people there can help me find who I am supposed to be in this world. I also can’t wait to be able to explore the rest of Austin while I am getting my education at Saint Edward’s University!

A negative experience for me throughout the 3 years i studied there. At first, i enjoyed the student community and the location of the campus. I attended steds during the pre/mid/post COVID. Taking classes during pandemic was a nightmare. SUCH a lack of online learning resources and support. I learned nothing in my biochemistry 1 course, so i was not prepared for biochem2. The professors lacked the ability to teach complex subjects like physics, organic chemistry, etc., via online. I struggled so much, and felt completely unsupported and isolated during the semesters of COVID. Post covid, classes were in person which was better, but the inconsistency of professor quality is unreal.GET READY TO DO SO MUCH BUSY WORK, the amount of unnecessary and tedious assignments per class is so unreasonable. I stressed constantly about turning in stuff, and then would not do well on exams. I had at least 2+ professors each semester that gave impossible exams and didn’t prep us for them.

A student's experience at St Edwards University was filled with excitement and nervousness. The engaging professors challenged students to think critically and explore their passions. The campus provided a vibrant community, where friendships were formed and late-night discussions took place. Participating in extracurricular activities and volunteer programs allowed for personal growth and a broader perspective on global issues. Overall, St Edwards University provided a nurturing environment that fostered academic development, lifelong learning, and a desire to make a positive impact.
