Spartanburg Community College Reviews
Review Spartanburg Community College
Spartanburg Community College is a great start for students fresh out of high school or people who haven't been to college for a while and would like to go back to college. It's a great start for anyone who is unsure about what they would like to pursue. The school is affordable and the teachers are great. I have to say that SCC has a great staff who care about their students. Any student can benefit from this college, it's very affordable and a much cheaper route to completing prerequisite courses before transferring to a four-year university. The programs offered for students are really geared toward success. And they have an excellent learning center and offer help in most subjects if not all!
Spartanburg Community College as an institution fairs markedly well next to some of its fellow State Colleges. It's a community college, so it goes without saying that there is not "college life" (i.e. no athletics, real student housing, night life, etc.). SCC exists simply to be a financial option for members of the Spartanburg Community to pursue their academic interests, and at this it does pretty well (at least within a certain scope of interests). The amount of fields you're able to pursue here are not too widely varied in number, but the options they do have they use pretty well. It has an excellent pre-nursing program and science department. The teachers are all very qualified and willing to spend plenty of time with the students.
Teachers would help students understand the content. The buildings are old and sometimes have maintenance issues. The classes were challenging. There is not a lot of extracurricular activities to be apart of.
