Southwest Texas Junior College Reviews
Rating 3.68 out of 5 255 reviews
Southwest Texas Junior College is a relatively small college but it has a very cozy and small-town feel to it. It has a ton of resources readily available to students including a 3D printer, a library full of books and computers, restrooms in every building, and even vending machines for the students to snack from. Nothing is too far of a walk and the professors and staff are very helpful when it comes to helping students with any questions they might have. It is a good college!
I would like to emphasize that the facility is full of hardworking staff, and I'm amazed by how positive of an environment it is. All of my prior teachers have been quite helpful, and I have only had excellent experiences with them. Many of the instructors give clear instructions, and the lectures are both equally informative and thorough. I appreciate how many teachers prioritize their students by not overloading them, and how many are very flexible with deadlines and find methods to work and accommodate their students' needs.
My overall experience with Southwest Texas Junior College was pretty good, I have taken many dual credit classes with the college, and I was able to earn a lot of college hours at a cheaper price than normal. Some of the professors made the learning experience a lot harder than it needed to be, but all in all I completed my classes with flying colors, and was able to enjoy my time while I was enrolled. I'm grateful that SWTJC made their course so easily acessible to us, even though we are still enrolled in high school. It also helped that we were given time during the regular school day to complete our work and lessen the load of it.
