If you're looking for a Christ-centered community, dedicated professors who truly care about your wellbeing, an education that will prepare you for your field, and friends for life--look no further. Southwest Baptist University was an answer to prayer for many, including me. There has been a bit of drama recently regarding the school board etc., but that did not stop me from learning and growing exponentially in my time there. It's bittersweet finishing up my last semester, as I realize I'm saying goodbye to the place where I've made so many memories, while diving head-first into the mission field it's prepared me for.
Also, it's been said they "give out scholarships like candy" and I didn't have to take out a single student loan. Private universities don't have to cost you an arm and a leg! Go for it!

Most online assignments were easy to understand! I had taken English Comp. II, Elementary to Statistic, Intro to Computing, and had Accounting assignments online.
Typing in Answers online was the only problem because it had to be the exact answer, and the there was no close estimate allowed. This was mainly for the accounting assignment when figuring out budgets and accumulations. Was also the same thing for Statistics when figuring out specific numbers related to diversity on certain subjects, and understanding outliers.
Intro to Computing had all assignments online. Learned the proper ways of using Word, Access, Expel, and Power Point. These were important because every course I had with teacher, I had to know what I was doing with the assignments that required these for use. We were definitely graded on neatness, and how effective the use of the was submitted. With Intro to Computing, Each assignment would take at least a hour and a half. Had to complete some outside the classroom.

I like the small class sizes that allow personalized instruction from caring professors. The campus is small and easy to navigate, and the student body mostly seems politically conservative. The food service is also great. Dormitories could use improvement, but I think the school is taking steps to make that happen. Overall a pretty chill, good experience for a first-year student.
