Southside Community College is a small college that is constantly improving itself. The classes are small and it has a more one-on-one atmosphere when you need help from professors. In my experience everyone was friendly and helpful. It's also very affordable. My financial aid covered all my expenses. Southside has a few clubs as well. I was in the gaming club there and the Honor Society. Another big plus is that they participate in the guaranteed acceptance agreement program! Ultimately my experience there was wonderful!
What I like about Southside Virginia Community College is that I went there for free my two years there. With financial aid, I did not have to pay for my books or anything. I also like the professors there. They work with you to make sure you are understanding everything and make sure you are staying on the right track. My experience here at Southside has been great. Since I first started here my grades have been great. I have stayed on an A,B honor roll. I don’t think Southside need a change. In my opinion, Southside is great how it is now.
Southside, while it may not have the scale or number of teachers that other Universities have, it does have an incredibly inclusive environment with teachers who seem involved in their students. It is quite easy to get classes you want, and due to the cheap price Southside is an excellent choice for self-enriching education without any particular goal in mind.
