I am currently a freshman at Southern Virginia university, and the experience so far has been incredible. Each of the staff/faculty members work so hard every day to make sure that us students have a wonderful experience. I have learned so much just in this first month of school, and the professors never hesitate to help. Everyone here is connected in some way, and it makes everything easier to get involved in activities, make friends, and be successful with academics!
Southern Virginia University is AMAZING. The staff and faculty there really care about you and your goals. Even if they have no connection for you, they will always sit down with you and talk about what ambitions you have. The campus life is always doing some activity, so you are never bored and are always meeting new people and learning about their experiences. While Southern Virginia is small, that’s the thing that sets it apart from other schools. With small classes, professors can focus on individual needs better, helping students achieve goals they never imagined. It truly is the place for love!
I love this school! All your classes, except your prerequisites are small in size. The professors care for you and often get to know you individually, I even go invited to thanksgiving from my professors! And I love that it is a faith-based school, it has helped me so much when I have had struggles in my faith to be here. But even if you’re not a member of the church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, you are still welcome! The atmosphere is so different and most everyone is nice and approachable, and if you are struggling there are always people here that care and can lift you up. Not to mention the sports and awesome and exciting to watch!
