Southern State Community College is easy to afford and provides a good foundation for the college experience. While it does not offer much in finished two-year degrees, it is a great place to earn your associates before transferring to another school or earn credits while still in high school. It also has good introduction programs for those looking to go into medical fields or business programs and has a truck driving academy. The school is small and so some of the classes are limited, but the upside to attending such a small school is that all of the teachers are there because they enjoy teaching.
I am a CCP student at Southern State meaning I usually am not on campus. Southern State has a really good tech department. I have had trouble with my password and website before and they were on top of it. The department works all the time and helped me get back into canvas. I am not a huge fan of canvas but I also have only used canvas at the college level, remotely for my online classes.
Southern state has always been helpful in every situation whether it’s a home, finance, or personal situation. I have always gotten a quick response to whomever I have reached out to. They make sure to accommodate your needs and make you feel comfortable while attending their school.
