My overall experience at my college has been great so far. I have been wanting to come to SIUe since my 8th grade year. I had a friends dad that would take us to the campus all the time. It started at orientation, I had a blast with my friends, and the events were amazing. I also got to volunteer at a farm for the very first time, because of SIUe. I had fun doing that and felt very fulfilled. Like i said before, the intramural sports have been fun, and I can't wait to keep doing those year round. I am excited for homecoming week and family weekend in october!
Review Southern Illinois University Edwardsville
I absolutely love that SIUe is not in a typical "college town." This is such a populated area that it does not depend on the university to thrive. Edwardsville is an amazing community to be apart of! The campus is big, but easy to navigate. There are so many ways to be apart of campus and the community. St. Louis is so close that there is always something to do.
Being a junior at SIUE, I was accepted into the school of social work. Being accepted gave me the motivation to work harder in school. I have improved my GPA and put more effort towards receiving better grades in classes. Being a part of this program, I have met many different people and created some close friendships. My confidence in speaking and interviewing has progressed. With great teachers and help as I continue my senior year. I hope to continue to learn the Social work Code and Ethics and to learn from experienced professors. By the time of graduation shows up I believe I will be prepared or ready to work in this field because I learn the duties and responsibilities a social worker needs to have in the field.
