I loved the psychology department! The professors genuinely wanted the best for their students. The nursing program was not compatible for neurodiverse people. I felt that psychology was open to different ways of teaching, but nursing wasn't.
Edwardsville has definitely become my second home. The nature focused campus is beautiful and there are many clubs and organizations that will help you find a place to fit in. Most of the professors are passionate about what they do and are more than willing to help their students succeed making it an enjoyable atmosphere. It can feel a little small at times but the university makes up for that by frequently hosting activities for the student body to keep them engaged. The living arrangements offered on campus aren’t spectacular but they are manageable compared to the insane rent prices apartments around town are. Overall, SIUE is a good campus for someone who wants an university experience without it being too extravagant or overwhelming
