I really enjoy attending South College. It has been my first college experience and honestly there isn’t anything I would change. I’ve had some classes online and some in person and have benefited from both because of great communication. I’ve had great professors that were willing to help me succeed and just keep pushing me forward and motivating me, or address any concerns that may arise. I love that they are ten week courses, and it makes you really notice all the progress you’ve achieved. This school is pricy, but the education I am receiving is worth every penny!
As for online courses I would not waste your time. You do not have anyone teaching you because you do everything on canvas (on your own). I am switching to campus learning in the spring so that I can hopefully get taught as retain information especially being a pre pa student. This school made me feel very welcomed which was a very important thing for me. It feels like home and not a big campus. Faculty are nice as well. Tuition is on the costly side but I am low income so I get more financial aid than the average student. Campus is beautiful with new renovations. Good location. No housing money or housing offered which is a bummer. Great flexibility. Small classes. Wheelchair accessible if needed. Cannot wait to start my sophomore year! A lot of female caucasian’s.
Class of 2018. I went to 2 colleges before South. I mainly chose SC b/c of the quarter system which is how I graduated early. I was eager to graduate quickly, but that came at a price. It is an expensive school, however it's the best learning experience I've ever had. The professors pushed me passed my limits to new heights I didn't know I could achieve. The school takes learning very seriously & constantly requests feedback from students. If students feel they aren't getting the education they paid for, they are quick to correct it. Most students who can't handle the pressure drop out, but if you talk to your professors one-on-one, they are happy to help you succeed. The class sizes are also small which makes learning even better b/c you get to talk to your professor frequently and brainstorm with your peers. It isn't a party school, but you will get what you pay for, that's for sure. It isn't for the weak of heart, but it is totally worth it.
