Shawnee Community College has been a great place for me to start my college education. It was very easy for me to apply for and receive a scholarship to fund my education, the faculty and staff are helpful, caring, and supportive, and I now have an Associate of Arts degree that will transfer to my future four-year institution almost seamlessly. Thanks to Shawnee, my student debt will be significantly lower when I finish school, I have received a quality education, and I have made friends and connections that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.
Students who are hand-on learners, virtual learning could be very difficult at times. If individuals ever get behind from not being good at virtual learning, then individuals should contact professors immediately to receive help, and it is guaranteed that the professors will help. Virtual learning could be difficult because it is now enforced that individuals have to email professors for everything or schedule a zoom call for most things, which has to be done through an desktop material, but most individuals are not able to access WiFi.
Shawnee Community College is a 2-year school, in the southern part of Illinois. Students who look forward to earning a degree within two years should go to Shawnee Community College. Teachers who teach at Shawnee are very helpful and very understandable no matter what race you are, everyone get treated equally. Shawnee is one school that will not let individuals get behind. A message to people is "your college experience all depends on you". Long as individuals do what it takes in order to stay on task, there is no way anyone will fail. Overall, Shawnee was definitely a great choice for me.
