Alum: I majored in Biological Sciences. The classes were certainly hard, but that was expected. I did not have one bad professor. The Biological Sciences department was great and my advisor was very helpful. The campus is beautiful! All of the students were nice and proud to be Clemson Tigers. There are plenty of opportunities to get involved in the university and in the community. The university police are extremely nice and are constantly on campus keeping it safe. There is always plenty to do. Downtown is just a few steps away from campus, and the nightlife is great there. Sophomore: Bob Jones has a great staff! All of the professors are very friendly and helpful. The atmosphere is amazing. Many of the students are excited to make new friends. Though some rules may need to be changed, they were made before today's generation and have the potential of being changed or altered eventually. Senior: I have LOVED being a student at Anderson University. I am a Senior and dread graduating and leaving this beautiful, life-giving community. I feel so supported by my professors at all times, as some have become my life guides, mentors, and second family. The intentionality and attention given to students across so many departments - Psychology, Health sciences, Marketing, Spanish - speaks to the character of our faculty. One of my favorite aspects is living on campus - I feel safe and connected on campus, while having my own space to live with my best friends, a little ways from the university. With that comes eating on campus daily, which I still enjoy, something not many college seniors in other places are able to say. Junior: I attended years ago (in the 1980s), and I loved it then. Since then, it has expanded immensely and is 10x better than before! I love the options such as the online program, because if the flexibility with family and work. The student to teacher ratio is excellent, and the professors truly care about the students. The reason I rated the party scene as poor is that drinking is not part of the campus atmosphere. It is a Christian University. That works great for me, and I find that Christians know how to have good, clean fun and the loving support of one another, without the vices common to most college campuses. But it wouldn't be fore everyone. Freshman: So far, I have loved my experience at CSU. The best part about my experience is the people I have bonded with. This community of people are comprised of the students and staff. They are respectful, kind, reasonable, and goodwilled. I am also grateful for the Professors at the college. I had one that did not see eye-to-eye, but every other professor has been top notch! Somethings to keep in mind would be the temperature and climate; it is very humid and not always enjoyable. Also, this year they had some issues in keeping up in the financial aid department. A final note for those who are interested would be the Christian element. You do not need to be a Christian to go to CSU (I personally am), but you definitely will be exposed to that life while attending. Alum: This college allowed me to not only be myself but discover myself as well. The coursework in person and online line up with each other so it does not feel like you have been cheapened if you chose to switch to online as I did. Freshman: It’s a great school so far! I love my teachers and the food is top tier. We have many things to do on campus and many activities to do weekly, not only that but the people you interact with are nice. If someone sees you down 9 times out of 10 they won’t hesitate to come over and say something nice to you and make you feel good. The RA’s are amazing and so is everyone on the staff, they are very helpful and tend to make things much easier especially when you need help on something you don’t understand. Freshman: I definitely like my professors and the campus that Greenville tech has provided so far. The only con I have experienced so far has been the enrollment process. I had a difficult time getting in touch with an advisor at first and the overall enrollment process was lengthy and unlike other colleges I applied to. Besides that, my teachers have been amazing, the campus has so much to offer (even a Starbucks in the student success center!) Senior: I have had a wonderful experience at Limestone as a student-athlete and full time day student. As a small university, it provides smaller class sizes and you get to know all your professors very well. Additionally, it is a close-knit school, with the majority of the students attending being student-athletes. Because of the large variety of sports, there are also many international students and those from around the country that attend, making it a uniquely diverse campus. Sophomore: Tri-County Technical College is a great place to go straight out of high school, after high school, and even after pursuing a career. The campus is beautiful and right next to lake Hartwell. The professors here truly care about you and want you to succeed. With classes under about 25 students, the professors here will know you name and dedicate time to help you succeed. TCTC offers endless resources from free counseling, free tutoring services, help with finances, and help with putting together your résumé to find the perfect job for you or continuing your education. She’s answered my questions regarding classes at midlands tech as well as class at the college I plan to go once I graduate from Midlands Technical College.
