Sophomore: Yale has been a fun and enjoyable experience overall. I would definitely choose Yale again if I had to re-do my college application. Academics: some departments are better taught than other departments. Yale can be weaker in CS and Math compared to other universities, but most alums are still very successful. Like most colleges, there is a lot of independent learning and there are numerous resources to help you. The environment is not competitive unless premed. Alum: UConn overall was a good experience, however I think the transition through COVID-19 could have been handled better. The school's stringent social distancing policies had a grave impact on the mental health of the student body and left very few opportunities to immerse oneself in the Husky culture. This sudden shift in student living as well as the majority of classes being conducted online should have resulted in a noticeable decrease in tuition, but this was, unfortunately, not the case. Sophomore: Having just finished my first year at Wesleyan I can definitely see why this place is so highly rated. By far my favorite thing about this place are the people I've met from professors to students to alumni. I just think this place attracts a type of person who is passionate and interesting and I think that's why I'm in college in the first place. Sophomore: University of Bridgeport is an excellent school in terms of curriculum, faculty, and, of course, the radiant and huge campus. You have a wide array of majors to choose from, and the extra curricular opportunities are amazing! This school is also very much suitable for international students, considering I am an international student and I fit it in very nicely, just as other students from over 30 countries who were with me during the Fall '21 intake. Freshman: Studying at Trinity is the best experience i I’ve ever had. The student body is so cool, diverse, and supportive, the staff really cares about the students, and the professors are open to anything. Also Trinity is very generous - if u need grant money for research/study abroad/field trip - they always give it. Meals at Mother are really good. They’re diverse, and you can always find everything you need. CAMPUS IS SO BEAUTIFUL, one of the best (if not the best lol) college campuses in the US. Area around campus is so-so, but the campus safety is always on duty, and they have the blue lights system, so as a girl I feel safe about walking across campus even at 2am. Downtown Hartford is cool and pretty btw, it’s better to study at Trinity than in the middle of nowhere. The parties are SUPER FUN. Senior: A school that truly lives up to its expectations. This university has a wonderful staff that ensures your goals are met by the desired timeline. The staff are understanding, encouraging, and overall motivating, to help the student succeed. Students are treated as individuals and you have the opportunity to work one on one with Professors. The school provides numerous opportunities to succeed with office hours, tutoring centers, and open communication with Professors and advisors. The only downside in what brings my rating down is the limitation of courses in the evenings or the availability of courses for students that work full time while going to school full time. Sophomore: As a student that was hesitate to attend Quinnipiac University I am very happy with how my experience has been so far. As a physical therapy major I believe that I am getting a very good basis to prepare me for physical therapy school at Quinnipiac. Despite the schools high acceptance rate, the classes I have taken have been very challenging and have pushed me to be the best student I can be. Sophomore: Uconn Avery Point was extremely good to me over the course of the semester and a half that I spent there. The small classroom sizes and attention given to students from the staff is something that I found extremely beneficial. I was able to get to know my teachers personally and the professors were always willing to help and responded to my emails in a timely manner. While at Uconn Avery Point I was also a member of the basketball team. This was a great experience as my team, along with the whole athletic department, made me feel like I was wanted and that I was important. The only negative about Uconn Avery point is that there isn’t any on campus living but I looked forward to my 30 minute drive everyday! I would definitely recommend Uconn Avery Point for students who are looking to go to the Uconn Storrs campus after. Junior: Sacred Heart is an amazing school that really tries to get everyone involved in some way. It is my home away from home, and I always feel welcomed and feel like I belong at Sacred Heart. Freshman: Being an upcoming freshman for Mitchell College I would like to emphasize how welcoming this college is. As a junior in high-school I decided to go to an electrical union after moving out of Ellington and was not expecting to go to a 4 year college. After visiting the school numerous times for my brother and watching him play soccer I was given the opportunity to be scouted by his coach.
