Junior: When I toured the UofA I immediately fell in love with the campus because it reminded me of hallmark movies, therefore, it felt like a warm and welcoming place. I loved every minute, and I truly made the best decision to attend. I decided to go through the recruitment process, where I rushed ZETA. Junior: It has been good! There are a lot of opportunities available for students. I attend one of the extended campuses and there is not a lot offered there. However, the main campus does a great job at keeping their extended campuses informed with events at the main campus. Freshman: I am excited to begin my journey at Benedictine College this Fall. I have seven older siblings who attended this school! The community is warm and close. The professors are personal and available. The classes are challenging!! The town of Atchison welcomes the students of Benedictine College, which brings economic boon to the town. During Covid, this school stood by its students and fought for them to stay on campus when the county wanted to impose severe limitations. Alum: Loved my experience at SU! It's such a homey place, with lots of extra curricular options and autonomy in path of study. The power levels are not far apart, the university president is a casual, supportive face you see on campus frequently. The norm established of everyone studying abroad and taking GO classes enhance the entire community's cultural knowledge and appreciation. I will say that living on campus for 4 years and therefore having expensive dining plans made it more expensive, although the food was decent. I love that the school values global citizenship and the environment (hello, solar field). I do wish Susquehanna did better to educate students and community about and honor the indigenous people the school and river it sits near are named after. Sophomore: The University of Northwestern has truly been an answered prayer. The community, friendships, and relationships that have grown over the course of my time at Northwestern is astounding. Sophomore: Stillwater has a beautiful campus and a family like feel. Dorms are adequate but I think there needs to be better training for the CMs. The one I dealt with was nice enough but didn't seem to have to knowledge to deal with much of anything. There is also a lot of off campus housing that still seems like you are on campus, which is an excellent option for students with pets! There are a lot of activities and clubs to join, ranging from sports, to music and entertainment. Something that would be beneficial would be to have better access to tutors that have specified areas of expertise. Also on campus work is available for about any type of work you can think of. The professors are mostly helpful, although there are a few that are not very accessible to students for help with class work. Would like to see better on campus food options. Alum: Great school overall. Some amazing professors. Lots a scholarship opportunities and seriously one of the best Presidents you can have at a university. It does feel more like a commuter school. You don’t quite get the big university feel which can be a pro or a con for an individual. I was a transfer student and did enjoy my previous university more. At UVU I did appreciate the hybrid model I was able to utilize because life happens and sometimes you need to go to school online. I would highly recommend this university for their programs but also if you want to get you generals out of the way. It was a great stepping stone university for those also wanting to start here with because of the open enrollment then transfer else where. Freshman: Hello! I attend Cornerstone University in Grand Rapids, MI. I have enjoyed my time at the university so far. To begin, the faculty in admissions and registration are open, honest, and kind. I have appreciated all they did to help in my entrance to college. Next, I have been overwhelmed by the respect that the professors have towards my learning. Cornerstone is a smaller sized college in terms of student numbers, so I have less people in my classes and more connection with the professors. Lastly, I have appreciated the students around me and in my degree. The people that attend Cornerstone have displayed nothing but politeness and positivity to me. However, I will be honest in why Cornerstone was given a 4 star rating. Senior: South Dakota School of Mines is a great school if you expect to be challenged and to come out of your schooling with the capability to learn and handle an industry or a research job. The school is not for those with mediocre ambition but for those who want to succeed and are willing to do their best and utilize the sources of tutoring, career help, and professor help supplied by the school. Freshman: This campus feels like a home away from home. Everyone is so friendly and welcoming, always making sure you are having fun and exploring new and exciting places in Canyon. Most of the professors I have encountered are really charismatic and humorous; they make classes exciting and enjoyable even when you have one at 8:00 am. Sophomore: Carroll’s location provides many beautiful experiences. The small student population makes it easy to get to know people, make connections, and connect with professors and get the help you need. The size can limit the number of clubs. Carroll has many great programs such as their pre-med program, one thing drew me to Carroll. Their pre-med program has a high acceptance to medical school and advisors can help you find experience. Some professors have teaching styles that are hard to learn from, while others are well organized and help set you up for success. A few professors I've had aren’t great when it comes to keeping up with grading or responding to emails, but most are. Carroll is academically demanding and tough; however, I feel that helps prepare their students for the future. The dorms are nice for the most part.
