Freshman: My experience with Liberty University has been blissful, interacting with passionate residential staff who are sincere with the Father, supportive admissions officers over the phone, a direct and transparent website, and resources responding to many essential questions that undergraduates like me would have. If you are a true believer and lover of Jesus Christ in keeping His word and the Holy Spirit dwells in you, this is the college to attend, especially if you're in Virginia! I am an admitted online LU student, but I plan on attending residentially in the future because of the "LU Tour." The campus is gorgeous! Everything about Liberty University leaves a luscious impression. However, above that, I feel the peace of the Holy Spirit throughout. I recommend the LU 100%; you won't be disappointed.... Sophomore: Bob Jones has a great staff! All of the professors are very friendly and helpful. The atmosphere is amazing. Many of the students are excited to make new friends. Though some rules may need to be changed, they were made before today's generation and have the potential of being changed or altered eventually. Sophomore: Cedarville University is the real deal. If you are considering, you should absolutely, 100% go here. You would be surprised how possible that might be, definitely apply! To my experience so far (I have just finished my Freshman year), I would say it was very good overall. I am a Computer Science major, and the school is very hard at first, but you will absolutely get used to it (some majors are easy freshman year though) some not so much. The professors here are so amazing, class was literally my favorite part of the day. All were very willing to help during office hours, and all office hours fit into my schedule. People do get jobs here from what I have heard and seen and internships as well. People here all are ridiculously nice, think the nicest person you know, and that is everyone here. Cedarville is definitely conservative, but not absurdly so. The dress code is reasonable IMO. Lots of great speakers in chapel, school is very Christian, everyday chapel is a lot but good.... Freshman: The biblical studies department is the best of its kind for undergrad in the country. It has amazing professors and the education is phenomenal! I grew so much in my faith there, especially intellectually. However, unless you're naive (homeschooled, private school, sheltered, etc..) or right out of high school, you will most likely have trouble fitting in and most likely get misunderstood. It can be dangerous for transfers and older students living on campus. I've had conversations with Campus Safety and even campus safety notices it, it's called "the biola bubble." Sophomore: I love West Texas A&M University. The community around the school is very supportive and helpful. I mostly take classes through the department of agricultural and natural sciences. The professors are fantastic. They may not always make the courses easy, but there are enough resources to excel. Alum: I absolutely loved my experience at Cornerstone University. The classes are small enough to feel valued and seen by professors, making the development of relationship between staff and student accessible if wanted. I enjoyed being able to talk to professors directly for any support I needed in class. I also love the Christ-centeredness of the campus. I lived in the freshman dorms for 3 years (one as an RA) and loved the community there. I made lifelong best friends. I was challenged in my thinking in such a good way and I developed so much positive character as a result of my time there. Junior: I am a junior at Evangel University and I absolutely love it! I had no idea how important of a decision I was making when I picked the place for my college education, but I am so thankful that I choose Evangel. Junior: Maranatha is a great school. There aren't a lot of downsides to it, but I think one of its strongest points are the teachers. They know what they're talking about, and they take the time to get to know you and help you out with school or just life in general. The campus is pretty, and they have really fun events. They have a great band and orchestra, which play amazing music for the student body, and they do really good plays every year as well. The classes are usually on the smaller side, which gives them a more personal touch, and it's easy to make friends among your classmates. The cafeteria food is also really good - people come from the community and pay to eat there. They have a lot of ministry opportunities throughout the year. The academics are really good, and they offer several scholarships for students - most students get some. Junior: I love Tech! It is incredibly easy to get in touch with professors and receive extra help through the ACE Tutoring Center (Which is included with tuition). You can recieve one-on-one tutoring from a student that has already taken the class, as well as participate in group study sessions for more universally difficult classes, such as calculus. I also found it easy to get involved through the many events that Tech offers throughout the year. While it's a small university, there are still many clubs and groups to join as well.
