Sophomore: I've just finished my first year at Randolph Community College and I love it here! The campus is the perfect size. It's small enough that you can find your way around easily, but big enough so that it doesn't feel cramped. The teachers are super kind and understanding, especially regarding the schoolwork/home life balance. A lot of students are parents or grandparents returning to get their degrees, and the teachers I've had have always seemed to be accommodating regarding lack of experience with technology. It truly is an environment for everybody. The campus is clean and well-maintained; coming from a poor high school, it was refreshing to see a campus that could be both small and beautiful. The transition to online classes we've had this semester (Spring 2020) was executed pretty seamlessly. Teachers were understanding about the ongoing situation and it was no problem maintaining my grades. RCC is a fantastic school that I would recommend to anyone looking for an associate degree.... Junior: There are many great things about attending Campbell! For one, Campbell is a consistently growing school. Campbell provides for their students, and genuinely cares for their students. Sophomore: My experience at Fayetteville State University was great! The professors are great. They want to see you succeed at Fayetteville State University. Student life is fun because Fayetteville State is always looking for new ways to get people involved around campus. For example, even though we are in quarantine they are holding virtual events for students to attend. As far as housing, it could be a little better. The food could he a little better as well. Sophomore: The staff and students are kind and very helpful in my experience here at this school. I enjoy the overall experience here at the university so far. I hope that my next two years will be as fulfilling as the ones that I have taken so far. I'm currently on the women's soccer team as a manager and that experience has given me what I need to declare my major. I'm an English major who wants to work in sports communication. My time here at the school has had its ups and downs but one thing that I know about this school is the amount of time and effort that is put into our schooling makes it worth the pain that you could go through here. We are small and a private school but here we will be a tight community. I like that all my teachers know my name and work with me through things that aren't always school related. Sophomore: I really enjoyed how hands-on the Haywood Wildlife Management program is. We got to experience a variety of field opportunities provided by the Natural Resources agencies we volunteered with. We saw many possible job fields and met many potential employers. We furthered our skills as fishermen, hunters, trappers and overall outdoorspeople while thriving in an academic setting. Instead of being seen as students, we were seen as wildlife professionals. I did not like how seemingly isolated our program was from the others on campus. The school focused on the Nursing program while Wildlife was the prevailing of the two. The Nursing program at HCC received more advertising. The security guards were more of a joke than a protecting force. Senior: I don't know where we all got the idea that community colleges are sad, under equipped schools for 40-year-olds and trade students, because SPCC is basically the opposite. Don't get me wrong, it is a humble school with only 3 or 4 buildings on campus, but the academics, cost, equipment available student to teacher ratio, and overall sense of community can't be beat. I absolutely love the small class sizes and the opportunity to build relationships with the professors. I also am always surprised at the equipment and resources available to all students (especially in the art department which has every art supply your heart could desire). The student body and faculty are so involved and are always there to make coming to campus a great experience! I wish their online courses were a little more dynamic and engaging but overall I am really enjoying my time at SPCC as I am challenged by the rigorous courses and supportive teachers....
