Freshman: My sisters graduated from Eastern New Mexico, it would be like a family tradition for the girls to attend this school. The classes are small which is good cause they'll be able to focus on each student and the professors give more options for your career benefits and one on one. The campus is small which is great, wouldn't be running or rushing to your next class. Alum: One of the great things that New Mexico Junior College has to offer is the connections it allows you to form. It allowed me to connect with other creatives in the program that I was in. It also allowed me to create strong friendships with other students and with the professors there. These friendships are something that are seen with lots of students and professors as NMJC offers the ability to easily connect with the professors. Alum: Clovis Community College is a great place to get educational goals, started, sparked and achieved. They provide a wide variety of majors and certificates, as well as degree for transfer programs. Counseling is available in person and online, also by appointment. They will help students to create a unique and specific plan to reach their goals. The classrooms and facilities are nice, and even when quarantine put as all at home or online for classes, the campus made ample accommodations for students to have access to many resources. My two years at this school were made possible by their ability to adapt to such unique and severe circumstances. Freshman: Attending Western New Mexico University overall has been a wonderful experience. However, if there had to be any changes, I would like to see more staff for the more complex courses. Having the option to choose an instructor for courses can be very beneficial for students especially since we all have different learning styles. Having a diverse group of instructors to choose from would benefit students immensely because it would allow us to choose an instructor whose material and teaching style/pace will be attainable to students who may struggle in these more difficult courses. Sophomore: While it's a small place with many limits, NMSU-A offers one of the best things an academic facility possibly could: enthusiasm. Every instructor I've had was clearly passionate about the subject he/she was teaching. If there's one thing that really makes me want to learn, it's an instructor who knows what they are doing and happy to be doing it. The one con that stuck out to me was that the campus can occasionally become a bit disorganized, which may cause problems for both students and staff.
