Sophomore: Manchester Community College is a very diverse school. The faculty and staff are very understanding and helpful. This school gives many options on how you want to take your classes whether it is online, in person, or a little bit of both. The campus is a decent size and very well kept. The campus also has a day care so parents can go to school and not have to worry about children. The MCC website is also very helpful and organized. Most of the information you need is on the website and if not they have a whole page dedicated to their different offices and facilities. This school also has many organizations and clubs. Freshman: The faculty is amazing and super helpful. I love my program and the staff in it! I am in the Vet Tech program, and I love it! My teachers are very responsive and resourceful. What I like about NHTI is that is is affordable and close to home. If attending a university, I would not be able to work as I can now. Sophomore: After graduating from high school over 30 plus years ago, I am pursuing my Bachelors of Science Degree. I had so much anxiety about going back to school after being out for so many years. SNHU provided me with the resources I needed. The advisors took the time to speak with me. They eased my fear. Taking classes online allows me to work full time and also go to school full time. Senior: Rivier University is great if you want small class sizes and a small campus environment and community. All of my classes have been less than 30 students, and most were 15 or less. As a part of the biotechnology program, I have reaped the benefits of a brand-new science building and lab spaces. There is also a brand-new business and nursing building opening in fall 2022 as well as new dorms being added to campus. If you want a school with small class sizes where you know everyone who lives in your hallway and seeing friendly faces every time you walk to class, Riv is for you! Senior: Colby-Sawyer College is in a very secluded area and has close to a thousand students who live on campus. The fall is personally my favorite time of the year at this school, because it comes before all the harsh winter that is endured a majority of the school year. Students (for the most part) are pretty familiar with each other and many professors offer extra attention if need be. However, I would like to see more campus life and athletic participation in the fan section from this school. What separates the experience from Colby-Sawyer and other schools is the party experience (especially feeling like you're in a safe space at one), location, and athletics. Junior: The best part about FPU, for sure, is the community. Everyone on campus is welcoming, loving, and personable. The support and positivity that run through campus are unmatchable. Another great aspect is the classroom. The class sizes are reasonably small which allows students to create a professional relationship with their professors. All the professors care about the well-being of their students and are deeply invested in quality education. Campus food might not be the selling point, but the people who make and serve it definitely are! Many of our staff also create bonds with students, such as the dining hall staff. Some of them even go as far as joining sports events to cheer on students or catch lunch with them at our local diner. Dorming is better than the food but not as good as some state schools I've seen. Freshman: When I started taking classes with RVCC, every advisor I spoke to went above and beyond in helping me to succeed and they still are. When I struggle with financial, academic or home issues, each advisor I talked to was able to help me in some way. Most of my professors have been kind, understanding and made it their number one goal to help me achieve not only high grades but the skills I need as well. I also appreciate that the teacher-student ratio is very well balanced. It is much easier to learn and to ask questions when there are only ten other students beside you. Each teacher (in my experience) has fully and completely answered any and all questions I’ve had and in good depth as well. The only issue I have run into with RVCC is the financial aid department, as I do think they need to be a little more organized but they have proven to be helpful in one way or another especially in terms of reassurance and other options....
