Freshman: I am currently a freshman at Creighton University. From the short time I have been there, I have seen that the community there is kind and caring. I have met many wonderful people that have made the change from home to college easier. People there truly care about you and will help you with any of your concerns. Aside from the people, the campus is small which helps one get to classes quickly from your dorm. It also allows you to get to know campus better and make stronger and lasting relationships. There are several clubs you can join. Currently I am in the EMT club which has allowed me to meet people who are interested in majoring in Paramedicine, but also get to learn some skills that will benefit you once you start EMT classes. I also work at the library which has given me another chance to meet new people and bond with my co-workers. Overall, my experience at Creighton University has been challenging but also exciting. Sophomore: I attended Northeast Community College's College Center in my hometown. I absolutely loved every single one of my teachers. They were very personable and helpful. Class sizes were small and I built relationships with all of my classmates. Northeast classes offer a variety of different people from a multitude of backgrounds and ages to contribute to the classroom discussions. This opened my eyes to so many other viewpoints. This being said my admissions counselor was not as helpful as I had hoped for. Although I feel my teachers prepared me for the furthering of my education, my admissions advisor did not prepare me for the continuation of my educational career. Thus, going on to pursue my bachelor's, I am behind in some areas. All in all, I definitely recommend Northeast to everyone looking for a college education. Junior: Union College was my first college where I applied to and got to experienced a new chapter. I got to experienced a friendship where you don’t need to be blood-related in order to be family! Here in Union College, I take Nursing major and so far it is great. I was able to experienced what it is like to be a nurse. Graduate Student: Hello, My name is Sergio and I am a recent graduate of Mid-Plains Community college! I graduated with my two tear associates degree in science and have much experience with this school, both online and on campus. Most all the teachers take a particular interest on students and allows for a more familiar and friendly teaching experience. I rarely found it difficult to be able to speak to my professors or any staff as a matter of fact! Staff and facility are great f top tier performance and I have little to complain about. As for the physical school, I have no complaints either. A brand new building that is taken care of frequently and all informed problems are felt with remarkably fast. Many of my friends from other school envied how clean and modern Mid- Plains Community College at North Platte looked. Niche User: I absolutely love their Special Education and Elementary Education programs. The professors work so hard to place you in a field experience that is directly related with the classes you are taking. I am also a big fan of the campus just in general. It's a beautiful campus, and everything is close and in walking distance. Not to mention, everyone is so friendly to each other. When I took a tour of Concordia, everyone we passed said "Hello", or asked us how our day was going. Junior: I have loved every second of my time at Doane. I came from out of state purely based on the opportunity to play on the women's soccer team. I was honestly preparing for the worst but was pleasantly surprised when I got to Doane. The campus community is incredibly immersive and inclusive. It feels great to have everyone on campus know you and support you! There are many organizations to get involved with on campus including greek life, which means there really is a place for every kind of student. Academics are great, small class sizes and personable professors really set you up for success. Athletics can be hit or miss depending on the sport, I have really enjoyed the soccer program but have heard negative things about the softball and volleyball teams. The food could be better and there could be more communication between the administration and students. There is also a really high turnover wait for faculty which can be concerning. Senior: One thing I love about Midland is the small community. I have anxiety and it is often sparked by being in overpopulated communities. Midland has given me the opportunity to feel comfortable in a learning space where I know my classmates and professors on a level I may not have ever gotten at a larger school. I feel like I have a voice on this campus and I matter. Something I would like to see change is the relationship between teams. Some sports are misunderstood and underappreciated. Freshman: When I took my first visit, I instantly fell in love with the campus. The seasons changing from Summer to Fall, it felt like a movie how perfect it was. Meeting the facility and different professors everyone had the same positive energy, everyone was happy to be working here. My first week of college was full of events had different freshman orientation, but they weren't the stereotypical events. The event put on by Hastings College were fun, interactive, and a great was a great place to meet new people. Every student and staff seem to be very happy here and are enjoying going to class. Freshman: I love the small class sizes. The average size of a class is around 10 students so that really helps the professors do more of a one-on-one with students if they are struggling with anything. All the staff and professors are extremely helpful with any questions you have even if it's not their department they will always go out of their way to find the answer and get back to you promptly.
