Junior: I love Tech! It is incredibly easy to get in touch with professors and receive extra help through the ACE Tutoring Center (Which is included with tuition). You can recieve one-on-one tutoring from a student that has already taken the class, as well as participate in group study sessions for more universally difficult classes, such as calculus. I also found it easy to get involved through the many events that Tech offers throughout the year. While it's a small university, there are still many clubs and groups to join as well. Freshman: They have been so helpful with helping me register. An amazing environment, they work with you from every angle to make sure that you're successful in your education. Covid hit the area and they were forced to shut down the campus, with exception of a few buildings. They really are supportive towards student in quarantine who can't make it to school. It's nice to know that you're not just another statistic to them, they actually care about you and your future. I never thought I would find myself back in school or even have the motivation to want to go. They have made my transition back into school so wonderful. I could go on and on about how the help that I've received has really made this experience that much greater. Change is scary and we tend to shy away from allowing it to even happen, little do my teachers know, they have helped me step outside my comfort zone, comfortably. Sophomore: After spending my 1st year of college here at Carroll, I can say that what I've loved the most there are the supportive students and staff that have made the move from high school to college less stressful. After all, Carroll accommodates some students, such as myself who needs more time to finish tests, by providing the extra time I've needed to finish. Also, Carroll offers activities for students to do, so they can have fun, connect with others, and make friends. I'd also like to say that even though Carroll encourages students to attend religious services, the alumni won't judge you for any religious beliefs you have, as they accept a diverse set of students to Carroll. For me, 1 impressive thing about Carroll is its campus that has many great places to visit. I'd recommend the HAC, which provides a lot of clean workout equipment to use for free. Freshman: Flathead Valley Community College is incredible. The head of the Running Start program is very efficient in helping us pick out our first college classes and organize them. Since it is traditionally a 2-year college, it is a relatively small campus - to those who went to bigger ones. As for me still in high school, but doing Running Start at the college, it is huge. The most amount of students I've had in my classes there is 28, but not every one of them came. In the nursing building, I have seen and heard of the incredible technology they have. They have manikins that can breathe, have a heartbeat, and one can even give birth! The nursing study rooms have loads of skeletons and manakins people can look at to study. Ex: Arms, torso, an eye... Many stores are direct across from the campus, including fast food, Hobbly Lobby, and many others. Alum: great school with great faculty who actually care about their students. The university offers a low teacher-to-student ratio which makes it much easier to grasp the material by getting one on one support. Providence offer multiple majors and various sports. I was an exercise science major and my professor/advisor was amazing! This major focuses on inter professional education which gives you a well rounded understanding of the human body and mind in regards to exercise. Overall, a great school to attend if you have financial support. Providence offers various scholarships and job opportunities as well as networking connections around the city of Great Falls. The surrounding location does not offer much to do except for drinking which does suck but it makes it easier to focus your time on school and saving money.
