Freshman: Studying at Trinity is the best experience i I’ve ever had. The student body is so cool, diverse, and supportive, the staff really cares about the students, and the professors are open to anything. Also Trinity is very generous - if u need grant money for research/study abroad/field trip - they always give it. Meals at Mother are really good. They’re diverse, and you can always find everything you need. CAMPUS IS SO BEAUTIFUL, one of the best (if not the best lol) college campuses in the US. Area around campus is so-so, but the campus safety is always on duty, and they have the blue lights system, so as a girl I feel safe about walking across campus even at 2am. Downtown Hartford is cool and pretty btw, it’s better to study at Trinity than in the middle of nowhere. The parties are SUPER FUN. The students are crazy in the best possible connotation. “Work hard - party hard” environment, definitely. Overall, I love Trinity, cannot emphasize it more. Couldn’t imagine myself anywhere else!... Niche User: This University is a breath of fresh air. The support is incredible. Every single item on my checklist was checked off when we visited this school. Sophomore: Having just finished my first year at Wesleyan I can definitely see why this place is so highly rated. By far my favorite thing about this place are the people I've met from professors to students to alumni. I just think this place attracts a type of person who is passionate and interesting and I think that's why I'm in college in the first place. For Brown Rejects: The university is expensive, and as you pay a flat rate and cannot switch classes around easily the experience can feel claustrophobic or rather limiting if you're among the MOST driven students; but O! to be in the middle 50 here; you will stumble into incredible classes with awesome professors and interesting students who will keep you engaged in the material and the work is manageable, club scene is a blast, music is great, alright nightlife, and great senior housing.... Senior: A school that truly lives up to its expectations. This university has a wonderful staff that ensures your goals are met by the desired timeline. The staff are understanding, encouraging, and overall motivating, to help the student succeed. Students are treated as individuals and you have the opportunity to work one on one with Professors. The school provides numerous opportunities to succeed with office hours, tutoring centers, and open communication with Professors and advisors. The only downside in what brings my rating down is the limitation of courses in the evenings or the availability of courses for students that work full time while going to school full time. This is a personal preference, but I believe there should be more selection of evening courses. Overall, this is the only thing that brings my rating down. Sophomore: I’m currently in my second semester of sophomore year and after completing all of my academic courses, I’m finally able to start working towards my illustration major and animation minor. In my freshman year alone, I’ve noticed just how much my art has improved! I’ve learned to pay attention to lighting in a 3D space and how to correct my proportions when it comes to drawing anatomy. I’m focusing on character design for video games and animated movies, and the Hartford Art School offers so many introduction courses that helps to introduce the subject in a matter that’s not overwhelming. I’ve already taken Drawing 1, Intro to Animation, Drawing 2 and an Intro to Illustration, which all align with my major. I love that despite having required classes, the school still offers courses to give you a taste of the different majors that they offer. Freshman: Its a good campus and the staff is very welcoming! I enjoy my experience here, so far. Including the transitioning because I am a freshman and going into a new environment not knowing anyone was difficult for me to deal with. The campus is not to far from where I live and I am able to go to school, work, and enjoy my experience while being at the school. I can't wait to further my education at UConn Hartford.
