Niche User: Wisconsin Indianhead Technical College is full of great advisors and instructors. Great tutoring program and labs. I know several alumni and current students and all of them along with me will recommend this college. It's also affordable. Much cheaper than other colleges. I like the fact that you can go to the campus labs for help as well. I was having problems, didn't know all this help was possible to keep on track, and was impressed. They are wonderful while working with students with disabilities. I have personal experiences with all of these and cannot be more pleased with Wisconsin Indianhead Technical College!... Freshman: I am currently taking the EMS program along with a forensic science class through FVTC, and I enjoy it very much! While my classes are at the Public Safety Training Center, I am frequently on the main Appleton campus, and it is an amazing place. The culture and friendliness from the staff and students is welcoming and they will go out of their way to help you. The food on campus is pretty nice as well. They do something neat at the main campus for lunches, where the culinary students prepare meals for the students. As for the public safety building, it's also very nice and honestly, I feel everyone there is even nicer because you all have a common theme in your degree programs. The instructors are amazing, very funny and helpful, and have great teaching styles. The town behind the building also helps you to experience real life situations without being in the real world. Freshman: I love western technical college. fantastic professors! I wish they would update Black board. Everyone is very nice and very attentive to needs and are always willing to help. It is a lovely campus with lovely people. They're food is actually really good, with lots of variety of food to eat. very well priced. Classes have been very good and easy to find and well set up. I also very much appreciate what they have been doing while Covid has been around. They have put social distancing around and limited class numbers. Freshman: Studying at NWTC is different from a traditional university. Most of the courses I am enrolled in are directly related to my future career field. NWTC is very concise in their educational practices and opportunities. There has not been a time yet where I had to ask myself, "how will I use this in my future career?" The professors are very accommodating, and it is evident that they want to see their students be successful, but not without putting in the proper time and effort. I have been at NWTC for one semester, and I can already see a slight issue in communication. Senior: I have enjoyed attending Chippewa Valley Technical College in Eau Claire, Wisconsin via online course education. The option to complete my courses online was an extraordinary opportunity which made it possible for me to follow through with furthering my education. My Professors were amazing! Although my courses were all online my Professors were all readily available, responded quickly to any questions I had arise & were extremely helpful as well as understanding & encouraging. While some may students may have the misconception that online classes are difficult & that this avenue of learning leaves you isolated with Professors who are disconnected, unreachable & uncaring... I am here to tell you that this is absolutely NOT the case at CVTC in Eau Claire. I couldn't be happier with my experiences & my education I received through CVTC. Alum: I graduated from GTC in 2010 with my associate's degree. The advisors when going in to finish my pre-reqs did not properly put me in appropriate classes based on my ACT scores so I had to test out on some once I realized I was placed wrong and lost out on that money as it was too late for a full refund at that point even though it was their error. I did not appreciate the closed mindedness of one of the psych instructors and did fail their class as our personalities did not work out and he clearly did not appreciate my input. Once in my program though, my teachers were FANTASTIC! The smaller classes made it easy for the instructors to pay attention to all students and be able to dedicate time to ensure all understood or got extra attention if needed when struggling.
