Niche User: Walla Walla Community College is overall really good. The professors have been wonderful, especially the english professors. The food is good, however the "cafeteria" (it's really only a cafe) isn't open very often. I think the folks in the town know that and there's usually a taco truck outside. There are no on-campus dorms, so that is something any prospective students need to take into account. That being said, Walla Walla itself is a lovely little town. All the professors (bar one) have been really supportive and relaxed. If you're having issues with the coursework they'll usually reach out and help you. The advisors are very helpful and always try their hardest to help. The bookstore has a wide variety of new and used books as well as supplies. Sophomore: It's been great! They are so supportive of their international student throughout all the paperwork. I have heard of my peers struggling because their colleges weren't as helpful as mind. Everett Community College's website is also easy to navigate as well as the support systems such as free counseling services and access to the gym with your student ID even if you don't live on campus. The instructors are always so clear and informative. They also have a writing center and tutoring center for all subjects to help students with their assignments as much as they can. I personally use the writing center for essays and the tutoring center for statistics and calculus classes. The tutors are also awesome! Student clubs and events also had been great as well as their diversity and equity center. They really show their diversity and equity, unlike some places that claim diversity but just do the bare minimum. I cannot say much about athletics because I am not an athlete or a sports fan.... Freshman: It's a small town college that's very affordable and offers dorms. The staff are very helpful. Just like any university, they offer dorms and meal plans, have many activities to participate in and classes are challenging. There are restaurants on campus and public transit nearby too. They offer a great deal of help when it comes to studying and scholarship applications! Big Bend is really a great community college, and I was especially pleased that they offer a ADN in nursing, medical assisting, and pre-med, among a ton of other fields to choose from.... Alum: Overall, going to SCC was a fantastic experience. I got the Animation for Video/Multimedia degree, and COVID hit about halfway through the degree. My professors were TOP NOTCH, wonderful people -- shout out to Christine Shafner, Al Yates and Claire Fant. They did everything they could to help students with their careers. I didn't spend a ton of time on campus, but when I did, it was lovely and had nice facilities. They had programs like emergency funds to help students out. The only bad experience I had was working there my last quarter. HR neglected to process my paperwork for so long that it took over 2 months to receive my first paycheck, and they made a mistake and only paid me half of what they owed, right at Christmas time 😭 so yeah, I'd recommend staying away from working there if you can. In my opinion, the animation degree didn't contain enough actual animation instruction, instead relying on self-taught classes. But I learned tons of other skills and software!... Read 332 reviews

Sophomore: Lower Columbia is a great place to start college in a relaxed, but stimulating environment. I think the biggest draw for me has been the friendly, small-town atmosphere. The instructors challenge you to do your best, but also do their best to help you succeed. I am pursuing an AA in music and I may be a little biased, but I think the music instructors at LCC are the best! I have also had many good Gen Ed instructors, probably the most memorable being the math instructor from my first quarter. If you ever take her class, you will know what I mean. It was challenging and fun: from music playing before class, to the class work itself, to her great sense of humor and love of teaching. Alum: South Puget Sound Community College was overall a great 2 year with many resources and perks. I attended as a running start student and felt welcomed and was treated like an adult. There is a plethora of available fields of study for whichever path you are taking. I had many wonderful and helpful professors. Very clean and beautiful campus immersed in trees but still in a convenient location. Freshman: What I like the most about Perry Technical Institute is how professional they are, they are very strict on start times, Lunch times, and break times. There are no days wasted at perry technical Institute the moment you step in the classroom you should be ready to learn, and the instructor is ready to teach. I also like how much help they have around the campus such as scholarship help, financial aid help, mental health help, and they offer tutoring after school. They have vending machines all around the campus and a food vendor in the cafeteria. The school feels very safe because they have security roaming the parking lots at all times and make student and staff download an app where everyone can communicate and be aware of something going on the campus, also there are staff that are trained to handle firearms.
