Sophomore: I've just finished my first year at Randolph Community College and I love it here! The campus is the perfect size. It's small enough that you can find your way around easily, but big enough so that it doesn't feel cramped. The teachers are super kind and understanding, especially regarding the schoolwork/home life balance. A lot of students are parents or grandparents returning to get their degrees, and the teachers I've had have always seemed to be accommodating regarding lack of experience with technology. It truly is an environment for everybody. The campus is clean and well-maintained; coming from a poor high school, it was refreshing to see a campus that could be both small and beautiful. The transition to online classes we've had this semester (Spring 2020) was executed pretty seamlessly. Teachers were understanding about the ongoing situation and it was no problem maintaining my grades. RCC is a fantastic school that I would recommend to anyone looking for an associate degree.... Alum: Monroe College is a unique environment to learn. The professors are all very invested in the success of the students. The school is very diverse which makes socializing fun and there is always something to do on campus. From obvious studies, to school shows and weekend parties. Also the school regularly plans trips to different sites and activities. The college library in New Rochelle was my favorite place. I had access to many books, printing and use of the internet. This made research easy and the library is quite comfortable. Another wonderful aspect of Monroe College is the R.A's. It appears that Monroe has a unique picking method as all the R.A's are so helpful and kind. If I could change one thing about Monroe College, it would be the cost of attending there and to create more opportunities for students to receive assistance. Sophomore: I am in my second year at this community college. The staff is very helpful and are all about student success no matter back ground, age, or personality! Although the school is small the diversity in students and educators is very large. The campus is very safe and flexible with all schedules. The class types are structured, open learning and online.
